In Februari 2006 BUL also has established another company PT PUKATI PELANGI BAHANA AGROPOLITAN (PPBA) which is a cooperation scheme engaged with PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, PT Gorontalo Fitrah Mandiri and PT Kaltim Industrial Estate, with its location at Kompleks Pelabuhan Anggrek Kwandang in North Gorontalo, province of Gorontalo. The main activity of this company is to produce fertilizer, the kind of fertilizer called NPK Pelangi which is derived from hara macro element Nitrogen, Phospor and Kalium and this product is very suitable for crops such as : Corn, Polowijo, etc. The factory has been started in production since end of April 2007 and the Blending Machine has the capacity to produce NPK with the volume of 50.000 TM3 per year. It is planed that for the first year of its operation, the NPK production will reach to 30.000 TM3. The potential market area will cover throughout the Gorontalo Province, such as in the area of North Sulawesi, Center Sulawesi, North Maluku and other area in Maluku.
