You could have probably put the plot down in half as many pages, if you had gotten rid of all the fluff.

And there's certainly something about Felicity that welcomed her, though that something is nowhere near as twisted as it is for Miranda. When Felicity is arrested for the murders Miranda committed, even she isn't sure if she's innocent.

I also have come to intensely dislike books that end on a cliffhanger where you have to read on. I thought I would give Mr Sellars one more chance with a much later book to see if there was enough improvement to give me the impetuous to continue. I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed this book. The writing doesn't feel as stilted as in the first book and there is a better flow between scenes and characters. Now I have to get the next book in the series fairly quickly since this is part of a trilogy and the end left me hanging but in a good way. Feb 16, Lel rated it really liked it Shelves: Another good book in the series. This one has more of the slow promising build up to a good end as it is the first in a trilogy. I do find the whole Voodoo aspect slightly weird as its a deviation from the normal witch craft that these books normally have.

Once again, Felicity is communicating with something. But that something isn't just sending messages, it's possessing her.
