Celine basically just accepts everything that is told her from the minute Sebastien enters her life. Is happy to bond with him straight away, get taken away from everyone and everything that she knows with no qualms or second thoughts at all. By the time it came to the finale, I really didn't care who had done what, I just wanted to finish the book.
I really can't think of anyone I would recommend this book to. But this is just my opinion - you may read it and enjoy it. I certainly hope someone does.

The book was exciting at first, but I got bored as it went on. There's not much more to the plot than meets the eye. Sebastian's mission is to protect Celine. He takes her to another land, Challis. If Sebastian cannot save Celine, their peaceful world will come crashing down upon them and all the citizens of Challis. I finally finished reading The Wishing Hour by J. Unfortunately, It felt more like a children's bedtime story to me. I was hoping for so much more and It never came.
As I was reading, I kept thinking of all the ways this book could have been written into a really really good book! I gave it 2 stars for it's potential. Feb 03, Kristin rated it it was ok. I really liked the premise of the story, but what really bothered me was the writing style. I believe the intent was that the character's are telling their story, but it came across very formal and detracted from me building a relationship with the characters.
Then at some point the story really lost me. I got the religious tone, but really Iwas waiting for the heroine to wake in the psych ward realizjng that loss parents caused her to fall into a deep depression which led to a mental break. This is a well paced story that will hold your attention with action and intrigue as the mystery of the deception unfolds and the truth is revealed. I recommend this story to readers of all genres. Celine is the key to a prophecy and Sebastian is her protector, who plays an important role in fulfilling the prophecy. I would have liked a little more character development, but I love books that are character driven.

The beginning is a bit redundant. Yes, we KNOW she totally trust this stranger she has never met before and she runs off with him. We get this repeated over and over and over at the beginning of the book. Please give the reader credit Very cute book with an interesting storyline. Please give the reader credit of remembering something that they just read 5 mins earlier.
I also thought the "twist" who dunnit wasn't really believable because I didn't think there was much of a motive for the "mole". But this again probably comes down to character development. It was if the heroine didn't exist until the day the story started, and considering how flat the description of her life is that's probably a good thing.
There are some incredibly creative concepts in the story and the twists kept coming. It's also got an interesting tense shift, in chapters with the main character it's in first person but the other chapters are all third person. All in all, I would say this it's a promising start but still needs some trade craft to polish it up. I have to admit to being disappointed that the woman had to change in looks, she seemingly went from being a black woman to a white woman and the thought that she never truly felt beautiful until she changed. I would feel the same if I was reading about a white he This was a true romance, a wonderful love story and different from any story of bonded mates I've ever read. I would feel the same if I was reading about a white heroine who turned black. I didn't read too enthusiastically after her change, it was still a very good story though. I do wish I could ask Miss. Adams why the heroine needed to change.

Adams has a eye for detail and I felt like I was right with Celine and Sebastian on this dangerous romantic adventure. I really loved, loved the bonding ceremony. It was so powerful. The Wishing Hour is a clean read! I highly rec Tifferz Take: I highly recommend this book to those who love fantasy, adventure and romance. This book is a keeper and I will be reading it again.

Its a bit strange when you start getting into it and I have to admit I was a little confused but everything came out right in the end. It was a pretty awesome book all the adventure was great but what really interested me was the cheese! It was just a mountain of cheesy moments in this book it was unbeliveable!
