While a number of examples of the Mughal talwars with this feature are illustrated in the Figiel collection, I have not personally seen examples of thier Persian counterparts. Since Persian influence is typically reflected in Mughal craftsmanship, there certainly must be examples beyond my resources.
It is interesting to note that examples of this feature appeared later in rare examples in Chinese sabres of the 19th c. It is noted also that swords with this feature were most likely to be parade weapons due to the compromised strength of the blade. It seems the talwars also were intended for court wear. The chevron pattern on your talwar is most interesting also, and references I have seen suggest Rajasthan for examples with this form blade.
