The worst boarding process I ever seen! Big lines of people just standing and waiting. The flight took off 45 min late!! This was an Alitalia flight. Food was awful, flight attendants were quite rude and curt. Really poor experience overall. This was a comedy of errors of United being terrible at their own airport. The food on the plane looked like it has sat outside for hours. The oils in the hummus and bruschetta has seperated. I only had an hour to catch this flight because my flight from Vienna to Chicago was half hour late to park at the gate, and was scrambling in the busy O'Hare airport to go through passport check, customs, catching the train to go from Terminal 5 to 2, passing through security YET AGAIN!!!

Nice staff, very accommodating to the fact that we were late and missing connections. The ground staff in baltimore were communicative and really nice about the delay. The ground staff in london were super on top of it, handing us a new boarding pass as soon as we landed given that we missed our connection. The back of the plane is just SO cramped. Seems humane to take out a seat in that back section. The food was pretty dry. Would have appreciated a bit more explanation of options.
I didn't watch any movies - just tried to sleep. We took off three hours late. It's surprising to me that none of the BA staff spoke italian.
Would have been helpful for the missed connections as I ended up stumbling through some spanish to help an older italian couple who didn't speak any english. The recline and comfort of the seat is good, and the map and entertainment system is OK. The flight was delayed, then we sat in the airplane for an hour before we took off, with kids screaming and the cabin at seemingly sauna temperatures. Once we took off, drinks weren't even served until 2 hours after take-off for a scheduled 6: Maybe it was due to some light turbulence along the way or something, but they should tell people that is the problem and the reason they are not serving food and drinks, if that is the case.
Most of it just didn't apply to me! The crew seemed to skip over me and my husband multiple times. So we sat there with garbage the whole flight. Liked that they moved me to a better seat - was sitting next to a cranky old Turkish man - who complained every time we brushed his legs getting into our seats- he refused to stand to let us into our seats- I said this is not gonna work and they found me a great seat with some normal passengers.
