Not as good as 2 in the series but still liked it. Mar 15, MHA Bookclub marked it as spiritual. Read the first two in the trilogy. March 25, This was a really good book. Just as good as the first two. Which in my opinion is rare unless you are Lori Wick. This one had such a unique twist to it that it made it hard to put down once you really got into the story and made it so interesting right up until the end. Anything I write will spoil the story so I will stop here. And was lead to read this book again.

And it was a nice re-read. One of Lori Wick's better series. I am so happy to have had the chance to get this trilogy on my Kindle so I could re-read it while my books are in storage. It is a lovely story with an interesting twist that really makes you think about trust and who we love. They are so familiar to me and for some reason, when I am blue, they make me smile. I feel I can dive back into my TBR list now and enjoy! Sep 03, Connie rated it really liked it. I listened to the unabridged version and it is the 3rd book in the Tucker Mills Trilogy.

Dannan MacKay comes to Tucker Mills as the new doctor and he has a chance encounter with Scottie Peterson who was in the general store at the same time. She accidentally hits him in the head with a rake. Later Dannan finds out Scottie is married and he has some issues with his feelings for this married woman. Dannan's cousin is orphaned and he has been assigned her care and it is the story how the three year old manages to get along with Dannan and getting over the death of her parents.

This is a very good love story with a romantic ending. I am glad that I listened to this one even though I don't usually like Christian Fiction that much. This did talk a lot about God and his plan for people, so if that is something you don't like then you probably would not enjoy this book. Barbara Rosenblat did a marvelous job with the narrating and the different voices in this book. The only thing I didn't care for, was the Epilogue. I think that part could have been left off unless there was going to be another book in the series. But that is just my opinion.

I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. Nice change of pace. Jul 25, Angela Bycroft rated it liked it. Her husband then makes a startling final wish before he dies - that Scottie marry the doctor and carry on with her life without him. I really really tried to love this book but I just couldn't do it. It seemed a little too contrived for it's own good and the characters just didn't ring true.

Also unlike many series books - it failed to stand alone in it's own right. The prior books characters appeared no doubt but I having not read books 1 and 2 didn't know them and they were never really reintroduced. A simple small back story sentence would have sufficed. All in all a little disappointing and not a book I would be likely to pick up again. And that, at the end of the day is the most important recommendation of any book.

Jul 29, Diane rated it really liked it. The best of the trilogy! It was amazing seeing the religious determination and growth that occurs for all of the characters in this book. I want you also to know that the battle is already won We still have battles because our natural man is fleshly and want Truly inspirational. We still have battles because our natural man is fleshly and wants his way and will until the day God calls us home, but in reality, God has triumphed over Satan, and we need to trust Him in that.

When temptation makes an appearance, we can resist because God promises us that strength. I want God to do for me just as I ask. Leave a Candle Burning Tucker Mills Trilogy, Book 3

This book reminded me of the faithful and the selfless and how I need to improve on both. Perhaps it was just too much of the same of the other 2 in the trilogy that made me give this only a 2. The story wasn't as moving to me.

Through a series of events, they are together alot and that just makes it harder for Dannan whose life is already very hard. Eli does not make things any better with his request or order or whatever you want to call it. But in the end, things work out the way they were meant to be.

I love the fact that the epi I think this book was probably the most heart-wretching in the series to me. I love the fact that the epilogue tells you what is going on about 14 years later and you get a peak at Corina. Wish things had gone differently for Reese alittle in the future..

Mar 17, Sadi rated it it was amazing. This book is so sweet. I think that it is sad that Elias dies. I dont see how a man could tell another that if he died, he wanted the other guy to either take care of or marry his wife. I think that Eli had to have a lot of courage to say that.

I think that he is also strong and must be sad saying it too. Dannan and Scottie do make a very cute couple though.
