Gorillaz "Demon Days" Cover P Demon Days was first mentioned in articles detailing the reopening of Gorillaz' website in early December Initially, a March or April release date was announced, but this date was later pushed back. Another early title was reported to be Reject False Icons , which is also the title of Gorillaz' culture jamming project. In January a promo for the song " Dirty Harry " was released as a white label 12" , and an exclusive video was released online entitled " Rock It ".

It was later reported that the track would not appear on the album, although it later appeared on D-Sides , a collection of remixes, rare songs and B-sides released in November Demon Days' lead single " Feel Good Inc. The limited edition of the album includes a DVD containing the video, audio commentary and an animatic for the music video "Feel Good Inc. The phrase 'Reject False Icons' was first mentioned on 24 November on a Gorillaz mail out to fans.

Fans could submit their photos of ways to spread the message by using graffiti or by sticking 'Reject False Icons' stickers that were available for a limited period from the site and from selected record shops in the UK. In December , the Gorillaz launched their own talent contest, Search for a Star, to find an artist to collaborate with. A gallery room was added to Kong Studios which displayed all of the entries. Gorillaz' competition was initially run to pick just one winner from entries submitted to Gorillaz. However, at the end of the competition, it was announced that two further entries — one from the submitted images, and one from the submitted audio files — would be chosen by online vote.

Usually I like to ramble on about setting and other things that make up a book, but there's so little point here. Setting is a desert place, and an underground world and None of it matters.

All the characters are abominable. They can all be arranged into two categories - those who react to the world like they've had forced celibacy since the day they were born, and those who inspire and sate the lust of these cretins with the ease of incubi and succubi. None of them are good Why did I read this?

None of them are good people.

They are, in fact, composed entirely of vices and malice. Nobody has their feelings resolved, just trod on. The plot is there, but it depends upon the revolting nature of Orziel, the main character. I'm really surprised they managed anything at all; I assumed they lived permanently in bedrooms. There is no romance.

Very methodical writing, and a pain to try and understand. I was confused after only two pages, and then made to shudder countless times afterwards. It loves its adjectives. So, why did I read this? I did stop after a while, but I came back to it and finished it. Morbid fascination, perhaps, or curiosity about the interesting ending another reviewer mentioned it wasn't worth it in the slightest. Ever been so disturbed by something that you stick with it until the end, just to see how much it can displease you?

You need to offer your readers wonders while still presenting a consistent and believable world. You must be daring and creative but still comprehensible. A million tired plot devices lurk, waiting to suck you into a quagmire populated by Middle Earth clones.
