Hamish and Rose are given a second chance. Hamish went into the situation with no expectations. Rose entered it with completely different expectations then their first encounter. At the very end, they both received a very pleasant surprise. I liked the second book better even if it was shorter. It also has a section that described Hamish and Rose's first encounter. For some reason, it wasn't as distracting as in the first book, and closed easily in the second book. Hamish and Rose get their well deserved HEA.
Dec 07, Cara rated it it was ok. I liked this book ok as it revisited the Christmas past where the leads meet and make the baby. But Dion never showed interest in his baby, and that is unacceptable. The title photo is so wrong for this book until the very end. Dion actually tells Megan he wished he had known when she got pregnant so that he could have talked her into an abortion. That is NOT ok. Megan letting him get away with saying it is not ok. She was a doormat, and he was a jerk in the last part of the book.
Dion lived in New Zealand from , so when his career in England comes crashing around his ears, he hops on a flight to visit his best mate, Sean for a couple of weeks. Loved this story, recommended read. Wonderful characters and story. A Christmas in New Zealand, now that's a warm and toasty holiday. Second or Third Chances I really liked this story and how it all came together in the end. The bonus novella was also a good read. Gotta love a war hero!! Always Good read and very sweet. Loved all three books and what they related too in real life. Fast read of what I categorize as "garbage books" - not for you if you are looking for anything beyond mindless entertainment.
This is my First time reading any of serenity's book and definitely would read more. I loved this book from start to finish. I love the characters and the story. Two very short books for the price of one! Nice reads if you don't have a lot of time. Half is a flashback to their meeting in Prague and the majority of that portion is all sex. I read the first parts with them reconnecting and skipped over the rest.
I would have ranked the book higher with more story focused on Dion and Megan's relationship rather than descriptive sex. The real story is Dion accepting not knowing he was a father and deciding what he wanted for his future. This ended just over the halfway point on my kindle. Once again, Hamish has to choose between Rose and the Army. I enjoyed this story. Military romances are dear to me, I understand them all too well. Life in the forces is never easy for either party.
He's shocked and speechless and not very happy. Meeting up with him in Prague eight years later is both a surprise and a relief when he rescues her during one of her panic attacks. The bonus novella was also a good read. Thank you to the author for the copy to read in exchange for my honest review. But before Max gets to unwrap his Christmas present, the other guests want to play naughty and nice with his new boy-toy.
There is a flashback chapter with their first sexual encounter. This story is about Megan Green and Dion Wallace. Megan had been in a 'young girl's' love with him since she was nine years old and at fifteen she knew she would love him for the rest of her life. Dion was very attracted to the fifteen year old Megan but was forced to move across the country to live with his father.
He didn't keep in touch with Megan as he knew it could never go anywhere since they lived thousands of miles away. What he didn't know was that she would I really enjoyed this book. What he didn't know was that she would have moved to be with him if only he had asked. They ran into each other nine years later when she was on holiday and he was on a business trip and the sparks were more like a flash fire. They gave into their attraction and spent one night together. She was quite certain he would call her after their explosive time together but he didn't.
When his world turns upside down he calls Meg's brother, his one time best friend, and asks if he could come for a visit to sort out his life. He's hoping to see Megan again. Megan has no idea he's coming. When he steps out onto the deck to greet her after his arrival Megan turns around at the sound of his voice.
She is shocked to see him a year after their night together and he is dumbstruck to see the bundle in her arms. He's shocked and speechless and not very happy. A good read that I definitely recommend. I wish he would have showed more interest in his son sooner but I give this author BIG bonus points for Dion staying celibate during the year apart. It's hard for me to like a read when I not enamored with the characters and that is the case for me with "His Christmas Present. I usually read romance novels when I'm in the mood for a quick, light read.
Yes, I know that they can sometimes be cheesy but sometimes there are a few out there that are really good,; unfortunately, this was not one of them. I won't recap the storyline because so many others ha It's hard for me to like a read when I not enamored with the characters and that is the case for me with "His Christmas Present. I won't recap the storyline because so many others have already done so,; however, where I struggled with this read is that the author didn't do a very good job in the characterizations.
The so called hero, Dion, one one hand is portrayed as the love of the main character, Megan's life ;yet, there is nothing described by his character that makes you get the feeling that he warrants this type of admiration. Yes, I know love has no reason but Dion is self -centered, pompous and arrogant.
Yeah, yeah, he's a great lover but in actuality the author spent more time describing the characters love making than on Dion's attributes. This read just didn't do it for me. I was expecting a little more especially with the baby angle. Oh well, you can't always have it all. Megan and Dion were childhood friends who came together in an unforgettable literally night of fiery passion in Prague. Time has allowed Dion to become suave and successful while adult Megan has retained a lot of the girl Dion knew As was the story, the characters were uncomplicated and swe My Rating: As was the story, the characters were uncomplicated and sweet.
Their motives were clear and there wasn't a lot of angst and drama in the story. Winters leisurely bounced between Christmas past, present, and future to explain how Dion and Megan's story came to be. It threw me for a bit in the beginning but it did add an interesting dimension to the story. It was just a rather endearing tale about enduring love. Kiwi Megan is a sweet 23 year old who has always been in love with Dion Wallace since he came home as her brother Sam's best friend in high school. I think that they would have gotten together without the baby because there is something to the fact that when Dion had the biggest disappointment in Another second chances childhood romance with Megan Green and Dion Wallace in Prague and mostly in present-day New Zealand.
I think that they would have gotten together without the baby because there is something to the fact that when Dion had the biggest disappointment in his life, that he quickly gets on a plane to go 'home' to Megan's New Zealand. The author is really great at describing exotic far away places with few words but lots of detail, I really fell in love with the two settings in this story! Well written and edited for a kindle free ebook. I like reading about love second chances and secret babies. The story definitely had potentials if the characters are likeable.
Dion is a jerk for talking to Megan the way he did, and Megan is a doormat. After all the things he said to her, she slept with him right away! Dion didn't even get the kicking he deserved! On top of that, he didn't show interest towards his son, eventually he d 4 stars for the " remember me " story. On top of that, he didn't show interest towards his son, eventually he did, but the story was pretty much over.
It was a let down. On the other hand, "Remember me " novella is deserving of 4 stars. It was really good considering how short it was. The characters Hamish and Rose was such a wonderful couple. I fell in love with their story. Sweet, sad, second chances, and happily ever after. Both stories is standalone with HEA.
What a sweet book! I really enjoyed it and loved every minute of it. It is not as intense as some of the books I have been reading lately but I definitely loved the story. It is a great holiday themed romance novel and a short read.

It is about Dion and Megan, two people who fell for each other when they were younger but due to circumstances, Dion moves to the UK. They part ways until they surprisingly meet up again during the winter season in Prague. Dion comes back to New Zealand to visit Mega What a sweet book! Dion comes back to New Zealand to visit Megan's brother for the holidays and from there he finds out that Megan was pregnant with his child but never told him. After spending time together, they find their way back into each other's arms and find a way to work together as a family.
I'm a sucker for happy endings, and indeed it was! This was my second book by Serenity Woods and I can say I truly do enjoy reading her books. I felt the story had a good pace, with enough drama involved to keep you on edge and wanting to keep reading until the end. If you are looking for a relatively short but full length story with a HEA, I would definitely suggest you give this story a try! Two second chance stories in one book. They run into each other years later and share one night. A year later they are reunited and are forced to confront their feelings for each other.
Remember Me is a novella about Hamish and Rose.
He is home on medical leave from the army after an explosion left him missing a limb and 10 years worth of memories except for name Rose. When Rose hears about Hamish, she's drawn to see him an Two second chance stories in one book. When Rose hears about Hamish, she's drawn to see him and make sure he's alright. What they find is chemistry that never went away whether Hamish remembers it or not. I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. I thought it would be cheesy and with no real substance but I was wrong. The story line was delivered in an interesting way and the outcome, although fairly predictable wasn't plain sailing from the get go as you would expect.
I was pleased with how the story ended but would have liked the author to spend more time on the character development more, as I don't really feel like I got to know any of them that well.
I don't think I would rush out to I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. I don't think I would rush out to read another by Serenity Woods, but it was an enjoyable read. A nice rendition of the ' one night stand nets a baby' trope.
Dion and Megan have known each other since children and a tryst in Prague results in Harry. Megan hasnt told Dion about the baby due to his work lifestyle. After he runs back to New Zealand he finds out about Harry. The story moves between that time and back to Prague when Harry was conceived.
The chapters are headed to help know where you are. I am a self admitted sucker for Christmas stories I felt like some parts were just wheels spinning in the mud and gaining no traction.

May 17, Miz Love rated it it was amazing. As a Brit, when I start reading a book based in England, and it has that voice, one I was brought up hearing, I feel right at home. Things are said exactly how we would say them or my family anyway and so I settled down to read knowing just the voice alone would take me right into the story. It satisfies the curious in me. His Christmas Present centres around a man named Tim, a cabbie—ah, a book that has cabbie in it instead of taxi driver is just heaven! It's a sex party, and everything inside that house was so novel to me that I was fascinated by every little thing. It suited me so well and I found myself really loving the writing and wanting to read more books from Ms. I read it in one sitting, eyes wide because there are things going on that I know happen for real but actually reading about them was…more than enlightening.
I got a little peek into the lives of the rich and famous and what they may well get up to. Love, love, loved His Christmas Present, and it can be read any time of year. Feb 17, Debbie Benson rated it it was amazing Shelves: Tim is driving cab on Christmas Eve and decides to take one last fare. He recognizes his passenger and readily flirts with her.
