Poe's works are wonderful as always. When I'm in a particular 'spoopy' or gothic mood, these short stories are the first I whip out for an easy read before bed or on the bus ride to work. This particular copy has LOTS of spelling errors and omitted words all together replaced with?? So if you don't mind being a little confused at first by who's talking about who, then this is worth what you paid for me it was nothing at the time.

I actually read Edgar Allan Poe 2 first. It made me recall my high school literature classes when we were reading short stories. Many of these stories made me shudder. I love mysteries and Edgar Allan Poe is a master at mysteries. It also made me think of some of the old time Alfred Hitchcock shows from my early childhood. I enjoyed reading this book. Some are excellent, especially the one about going to the moon in a balloon. The science is pretty good when allotting for the period when it was written.
