How to Beat the Pro Football Pointspread: A Comprehensive, No-Nonsense Guide to Picking NFL Winners

There really has been nothing else like it. If there was, I would have seen it by now. I've put down other books on this subject in bookstores - a quick read and you could see they were junk. With this book's help already, this past weekend, I targeted two winners - Rams and Lions - that I never would have thought or had the nerve to bet on had I not read this book.

Bettors, before buying this book. Please have a second thought and look for another book. This book is filled with useless non-impact info that is readily available on the web. How did he call himself a "sharp"?! This book is definitely full of breakdowns of how to predict pointspreads, what advice to ignore, etc.

My only problem with this book is that the writer doesn't give definitions of all the initials ncr, bc, etc.

Other than that, I really like the book!! I bought this after reading a positive review. In realty it is just more of the same useless information. The author owns a paid handicapping service. Although the book is a soft sale to visit his sight and purchase their services, never the less, it is just more of the same.

The bottom line is noone can predict how a hundred different people will perform on any given day. Keep in mind that the odd setters don't even attempt this. They are just trying to get an equal number of people to bet on each side of the game. Remember , they get 10 percent of each side of the bet.

I would not recommend this as an intro book for anyone. If you follow his prescriptions you are more likely to lose than win.
