I pre ordered this book four months ago and it was worth the wait. In summary this is a great book for all levels of end user for the truly novice just came from Windows users to the advanced user. The books intended audience is not stated but this is a book that is a 5 star book for the novice to intermediate user and a 4 star book for the advanced user. Couldn't get along without it.
I bought this book when I upgraded from my old iMac running OS 9. This book has been an invaluable tool in helping me get up to speed on the look and functioning of OS X. It's written with enough humor to keep it interesting, but not so much that it gets in the way of the information. It's very clearly written, easy to understand. I read the first few chapters straight through, but now that I have my bearings in the new system, it's a handy reference that I can pull off the shelf when I want to look up something specific. It is amazing how much my computer can do that Apple never told me!
David Pogue gives new presents with each chapter.
