Please try again later. Bought the book thinking it included all the Leyendas, but disappointedly it does not. Does not include any that I need.
It would be great if a copy of the table of content of this particular book be made available to know what you are buying. En las rimas hay tantos pensamientos y suspiros literarios que sera mejor leerlos lentamente,sin embargo en las leyendas no se puede dejar ninguna de ellas a medio camino, por que la curiosidad no lo permite. Recomiendo este libro al lector que sienta curiosidad o simplemente desee recrearse en una buena y sosegada lectura.

Excellent poems and sotries. Gustavo Adolfo Becquer was one of the top poets of the Romanticismo in Spain. His Rimas y Leyendas is an excellent example of his own time. He changed the style that prevailed in the epoch. He went beyond the classics in many aspects, becoming himself one of a kind in his own right. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase.

Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. Nice to read it! I discovered Bequer while in Spain, the land of this birth. I first read some excerpts from his works and was instantly drawn to them, especially the last two lines of Que el alma que hablar peude con los ojos, Tambien puede besar con la mirada. I have no comments on this particular book as I have not read it, hopefully the translation is good.
If you have any interest in Garcia Lorca, Neruda, Rimbaud, Baudelaire, you will like this poet, you will enjoy this poet, and you will ascent to the heights of "What is poetry?
