The Third Floor Window, A True Story of Secrets, Survival and Hope

Before you proceed to the second floor don't forget to go to the 3rd floor to activate the next main objective first. At the beginning on the second floor hallway you will see some zombies but they are really far away.

So it appears that you need the keycard and the right keycode for the keypad to unlock the server room. It seems that the keypad is busted which means that you only need the keycard to unlock the server room. Well, you need something to reach the pipes. The best tool for it would be a ladder. There are two traps in this area, go to the trap events section for more spoiled information. There is a lightswitch in the cooking room You are now inside the shaft So try to calm down and don't shoot or they will crawl their way in!

Crouch your way through the shaft until you see the chemical storage and break the vent to get out. There is always 1 zombie in the chemical storage and the door is always locked but breakable. You can open the rollerdoor of the garage by pressing the button near the rollerdoor. You are now in the fourth floor and can hear the moaning again.

The Third Floor Window, A True Story of Secrets, Survival and Hope

You are finally outside! Ok at least on the roof: Go through the unlocked gate, go to the stairs first and check for more supplies, there is sometimes a first aid kit there on the red tent. So far so good, now go back and move on through the open gate on the left and just go along the way until you see a door. The door leads to the astronomic club, you will find a broken army radio if you go up, press on the radio for the next objective. Please prepare for the finale first before you press the radio again since it will start a hold out objective until escape, so choose your defend point wisely and arm yourself well.

If you press on the radio you will call for help. A rescue team will help you to escape but it will take a while. Turning on the lightspot will help them find you faster which means it will reduce the hold out time! You can find 2 nailguns in the 3rd floor! Sometimes in the technical room and sometimes in the restrooms.

A hint will be given if you picked up a nailgun which reminds you to take the wooden boards too. This item is absolutely necessary if you want to continue your journey! The riot zombie encounter is generally increased outside and depending on you difficulty you will see more or less of them! The constant spawn is pretty low at the beginning but once you are searching for gascans it will be increased drastically!

Sugar: The Bitter Truth

The constant zombie spawn has 4 cooldown phase if you activated the gascan objective. The max constant zombie spawn will be decreased on each cooldown phase which takes less than 5 minutes. There will be only a handful zombies if you survived until the last cooldown phase. Are you still alive? The ground just broke apart when you tried to open the door! Luckily you didn't hurt yourself so much after the fall but let's forget about that and focus on your surroundings After you got all the cool stuff from the bandit camp you should move on until you see a schoolbus.

Don't use the key if you found it already because it will trigger the finale objective and drastically increase the zombie constant spawn. So here comes the finale! There is a lot tactics you can try on this finale.

Act I First Floor Overview. You will spawn at the student council room. Nope, keys are visible and not underneat other items. In one inspiring section, she questions where God has been through all the years of abuse and she has a flashback of being in the room while the abuse was happening and Jesus sitting in a chair in the corner and crying. Wednesday, October 1, Book Reviews. Just checked it out and everything works fine.

Scary events are like random encounters which appear occasionally on each round to boost up the replayability of the map: Traps events are events that will alert nearby zombies and make them very aggressive: There are 2 of them in the third floor: Thank you for the valuable feedback Falcus! I haven't added any hints there since the new game mechanic was already introduced on the "crossing the bridge part". The bandit camp is a pretty small area so I decided to let the players to figure out the solution by themselves there.

Oh whoops, the road with the truck and crates was supposed to be off limit.

Falcus 24 Mar 4: I think about the only feedback I would give is maybe a text message hint about using the planks of wood to build a ramp, but other than that, it's a really good map: That was seriously the only thing that really caught me and why we looked for a guide but couldn't find anything that helped until realising afterwards it was hinted at in the bandit camp section. I'll add on to the last comment. Over an hour to finally figure it out. I skipped the bandit camp part listed here because well, you don't need the wooden planks to leave.

I just jumped back out from the wall to the left of the turret gun that is facing the wall. You can jump over the fence from there if you duck midair.

  • Making Sense of the Troubles: A History of the Northern Ireland Conflict.

So because of that I missed that part on the guide. No bolt cutters needed. Everyone left the game but I guess at least I managed to finish it by myself: Falcus 24 Mar 3: My most recent playthrough the keys spawned at the creative area however the problem is the fact that no bolt cutters spawned at all, making it impossible to finish the map.

See a Problem?

The only way I could get the keys was by jumping over the truck and then walking across the wall just east of the creative area. The worst part is the fact there is a very clear way for me to leave, however I can't walk through it because of the invisible wall placed on the crates next to the truck. The map is great but the fact that no bolt cutters spawned, as well as the fact that the key was in an area where you required bolt cutters made it impossible to finish.

Hopefully we get better luck next time and either the keys spawn elsewhere, or the bolt cutters actually spawn. Nope, keys are visible and not underneat other items. Just checked it out and everything works fine. I looked at the map here and we checked all 5 possible locations several times. In the subsequent playthrough one of our characters said, "There are keys here," and so we knew the keys were nearby.

We searched around that location for 10 minutes without finding them. What she found along the way was healing and hope. And the discovery that, while she has not always known God, God has always known her. And has been with her through it all. In one inspiring section, she questions where God has been through all the years of abuse and she has a flashback of being in the room while the abuse was happening and Jesus sitting in a chair in the corner and crying.

Spiro opens the door of her memories and tells the story of a child who lived in fear and to this date is still searching for that fatherly love she never had. The book is written as a personal journal and in it she shares her adult's insecurities, victories, and constant determination to fully heal those open wounds and scars of her soul.

The book cover shows a picture of a faceless child looking outside a window with a white dove flying above her head. That faceless child represents all the children who are still victims of this horrific crime today. The dove represents the Holy Spirit bringing comfort and hope to those children looking for a way out and don't know where to go or who to trust. I recommend this book to victims, survivors, counselors, families and friends, and religious leaders helping with the healing and self-worthiness process of these injured souls, whether they are still children or an adult.

The Third Floor Window: A True Story of Secrets, Survival and Hope by Colleen Spiro

The author's book was profound and inspiring. A book about healing and overcoming the shame and the silence of childhood abuse. The book led me to learn things about God that I had never thought before. It answered so many questions I had and led me to learn things that God had been trying to teach me for a long time now. Definitely a valuable read and one book I will plan to re-read many times over.

Inspiring and educational at the same time. It showed me God is there and will always be there. The themes highlighted were true and real and things I could easily apply in my life. A must read for those who are looking for hope in recovering from abuse in the past. Dec 31, Sarah Beth rated it liked it. This was not an easy book to read. However, it is a story of hope. Ms Spiro is a trur survivor and credits her faith in God for finally brimging her to a place of healing.
