Claimed! (Mills & Boon Blaze) (Sons of Chance, Book 3) (Sons of Chance series)

I was also disappointed by how quickly Nick gets passed his whole "My entire life as I know it has been a lie. I also didn't quite buy the quick ending. I think another chapter or two at the end could have done wonders to give readers the complete ending they needed. All this being said, it was an entertaining read with endearing characters, steamy love scenes, and a heartwarming story. Vicki delivers another winner! This book lives up to it's sexy cover, and I had so much fun reading it. I loved how Nick and Dominique started off with a bang and then realized how much they cared for each other as life and its problems intruded on their fling.

Vicki Lewis Thompson is so good at heating up the pages, and once again, she practically made my fingers burn. I can't wait to sink into the next book in the Cowboy series and to drool over the next book's cover. This book was definitely worth an evening of my limited reading time! One person found this helpful. Loved the setting of the Last Chance Ranch and the wonderful cast of characters. Can't wait to read more in this series!

Finding Nick Chance in the field on the ranch was the best thing that could have happened to both of them. Nick helped her see who she was and who she could be, on her own. Nick even though his profession was a veterinarian was out on Chance's acreage digging fence posts for his big brother Jack who was running their family ranch. He wasn't happy about it but was trying to help his brother's bad moods due to the recent death of their father. However, Dominique's reasons for being on the same acreage were entirely different.

You see, Dominique was a professional photographer from the mid-West and was trying to get over being dumped by her boyfriend. She thought there would be no better way than to seduce a cowboy and so when she and her camera came upon the very hot, sweaty and well built Nick, she took advantage of the photo opportunity and Nick obliged her by posing for the shots.

When Dominique revealed that she had been recently dumped and jilted, and really flirted with Nick sending him a very definite message, Nick obliged her by making love not caring that they didn't know each other's names. Like my headline said fun and easy. This is by no means a long book nor is it a hard read but after a long day sometimes we just need an easy read with a few laughs and happily ever after and this book definitely delivers at least for me it did. Will be one that I will read over an over again.

Perfect for a rainy lazy day on the couch. You will fall in love with Nick with each page. See all 33 reviews.

Claimed! (Mills & Boon Blaze) (Sons of Chance, Book 3) (Sons of Chance series) eBook: Vicki Lewis Thompson: bahana-line.com: Kindle Store. All in all, I enjoyed all 3 books of the series. ;DD .. Shelves: audio-books, romance, blaze .. Claimed! by Vicki Lewis Thompson the Sons of Chance #3.

I do believe the hero made atonement but his treatment of the heroine bothered me and it went on too long before she finally called him on it. Months ago cowboy Jack broke off with bar owner Josie, his sex buddy, and now they are thrown together for his brothers wedding. Seams like its been a long time since I gave a HQN Blaze more than 3 stars, but this one was notably better than their average offering. View all 3 comments. Oct 24, Jae rated it really liked it Shelves: Jack was the brooding brother and I was hoping for more sexual tension going on between Josie and him.

Josie seemed a bit easy here for my liking.. She should put more restrains considering their history. All in all, I enjoyed all 3 books of the series.

Jun 30, Sarah rated it it was amazing. Totally made my cry, but the ending was perfect. I'm also super glad the mini-series is continuing with Josie's brother, Alex. Oct 19, Dina rated it really liked it Shelves: It actually quickly became an almost hate read. Now, he shows up on her doorstep, drunk, and tries to punch what turns out to be her brother for moving in on his girl.

There are brief glimpses into the backstory of the "H" - his dad appears to have been a controlling asshole who ran off his first wife that's Where to start? There are brief glimpses into the backstory of the "H" - his dad appears to have been a controlling asshole who ran off his first wife that's never addressed other than the "H" appears to blame her entirely , and who didn't like that the "H" had taken up with the "h", not because he had issue with her, but because she distracted the son from being his devoted slave. He'd apparently demanded that son haul a horse, son refused, and the cynic in me sort of wonders if he didn't deliberately wreck to make son feel bad, only miscalculated and got himself killed - 10 months before the book starts.

The h, in spite of all this, when meeting him to discuss a few riding lessons for a wedding in 2 weeks, is more than ready to jump him, and in fact, the first lesson gets a hand job from him She does break it off with him after a few pointed questions by her brother make her realize he's just There were so many issues, from the h's absolute lack of self respect, to the H's self-absorbtion. It's a small town, with one gas station and one stop light. Theoretically, everyone is related to everyone, and everyone knows who is sleeping with whom, so his behavior towards her, or well, any local woman is irresponsible.

Her practically falling over with her legs in the air because he's so hot or whatever A wedding on horseback being conjured out of thin air in 2 weeks, complete with formalish gowns Finding dresses that would fit which, btw, was never mentioned in the book in such a rush job would be a trial, not to mention horses don't always take kindly to great heaps of fabric dumped on them. The riding lessons in and of themselves made me wince - a trail ride the first time? The h dropping the reins ack! Jan 01, Quinn Fforde rated it it was amazing. I love how she describes the beauty of the Wyoming Landscape and the rugged, yet romantic side of the Cowboys and the people that reside there. Lush scenery, love of the land and their family and the heritage that make the old West come alive again, make for a nice reading experience. Jack Chance is the oldest of the Chance brothers. He is your typical brooding, extremely good-looking, and domineering Cowboy.

Since the lose of his father 10 months ago he has the job of being in charge of The Last Chance Ranch.

Fler böcker av Vicki Lewis Thompson

Jack had never wanted to fill his father's boots, but has been thrust into the position. Jack feels responsible for his father's death as he wasn't available to go and trailer this horse as was needed when his dad had called him some ten months back, but rather he was in bed with his lover Josie at the time. Now he bears the burden of feeling like if he hadn't been with her, his dad would still be living, but he also harbors deep emotional scars from his birth mom walking out on him when he was a very young boy and he has never gotten over this. Josie owns the "Spirits and Spurs" bar in town.

She had come to the Jackson Hole area 5 years ago to learn to ski, and decided to move to the area. Her and Jack are immediately drawn to each, like a moth to a flame and begin spending all their free time with each other, and wow is their sexing hot, heavy and often! Things are going well, and Josie falls hard for the handsome, brooding Jack, but upon his fathers death Jack breaks off suddenly with Josie and becomes hell bent on filling his dad's shoes, while making the Ranch a success. For Josie's part she not only feels the sudden lose of the love of her life, but also feels like she is somehow responsible for Jack's fathers sudden death, as his dad never approved of Josie to begin with.

So Josie dives into her business full bore to not only become a member of the community, but to hide the hurt that she feels after Jack has dumped her. Jack becomes more than driven to prove he can handle being in charge of the Ranch, but he becomes even more demanding and gets into several verbal fights with his family as well as the foreman and ranch hands on The Last Chance Ranch. When he is suddenly thrown into giving riding lessons to Josie because his brother Gabe and Morgan are getting married on horseback his world gets turned upside down again, but this time he actually gets flipped back in the right direction.

Before long he and Josie are back having hot sex and pretending it is only that, but he gets put in his place by his foreman of the Ranch and realizes that he has been acting like a fool, so he goes into town to win Josie back where he encounters her brother Alex. Alex is protective of his younger sister, and he also knows all about Jack Chance and what he did to his sister so he is less than receptive to Jack and it takes awhile for him to accept that Jack and Josie are back together again Alex gets an invite to Gabe's wedding and is asked to be the DJ for the wedding.

Later in the evening Alex gets entwined with Tyler who is Morgan's sister in the hayloft. When Jack sees the light, he proposes to Josie and soon they are making plans for a double wedding with his other brother Nick. I loved Jack one minute then wanted to punch him the next when he was cold and rude to Josie and his family, but I also felt his pain with the mention of his mom leaving and then the lose of his dad. When he was a big enough man to admit his mistakes and wanted to start living again and wanted a life and family with Josie is when he redeemed himself in my eyes.

You gotta love these uber masculine, brooding Cowboy types like Jack, and V. Thompson did a great job developing his persona and all the family dynamics that make up the Chances. So when I recieved Claimed for review, I confess I was not thrilled about the pretext. Holy Cow, Vicki Lewis Thompson threw all my expectations on their respective ear, a eing from the west and having grown up on a ranch myself, I must admit a certain amount of prejudice against Cowboy love stories.

Holy Cow, Vicki Lewis Thompson threw all my expectations on their respective ear, and just wrote a flipping fantastic book. Instead, I was sucked in to this brilliant love story through characters that I honestly felt I could have grown up with.
