This is a pretty good tale which is geared more toward the male young adult audience vs. It had a good pace and plotlines, and the author left the opening for a sequel which I think I would purchase and read just to see where his imagination takes me next. I'm not a big science fiction fan, but this story was very well-written and entertained me throughout.

It reminded me of some science fiction books I read, back in high school, written by Issac Assimov sp. There were some interesting twists and turns leaving the reader wanting to know where Captain Dan, Janet and Tom go from here. This is a not-bad story of daring-do. I read it all and thought is was rather fun, but mostly a slightly different version of an old story. Still, if you are just seeking a few hours of fun reading, it's better in the regard than Pasternik.

When I was a teen, I probably would have loved it. But that was long ago and now it proved to be a bit juvenile for my taste. I was too difficult to suspend reality enough to really buy in. Still, the writing wasn't bad and the story was adequate to carry a novella quite well. I wouldn't say NO to it at the price. The 3 young people find the derelict craft and reactivate the ship. The enemy appears and the 3 determined a way to destroy 2.

This is an excellent read for the genre I could not have been more into this book 50 years ago. As a teenager I may have enjoyed it more, but probably not.
