I didn't enjoy this book because I felt it didn't stay on one thing I felt it could have been better. One person found this helpful. I'm always looking for stories about smart and funny characters, and this was a good one. The fact that it was free for Kindle when I got it added to my enjoyment. Wasn't my cup of tea. I loved the humorous insight and perspective. This story was laced with funny composition, knowledge and character development. I found myself high lighting several clever entries to refer back to at a later time. Reginald Dipwipple's first novel is a mix of goofy spy-adventure, well-educated travelogue, and digressive covert-intelligence history.

For example, did you know that a laughing outbreak in 's Africa that was so severe that schools had to be shut down? They behave ridiculously, they say goofy things, and they are able to pick up on any kinds of figures-of-speech or sarcasm. The cartoony nature of the book lends it some of its greatest laughs but also one of its most unfortunate flaws: Many of the laughs in the book comes from an old-fashioned sense of humor the "Who's on First?

It's all light-hearted though, and there's never a joke made in bad taste or at the expense of others. Many of these digressions are fun asides, but at a certain point, they become frustrating. Some of these tangents don't fit tonally: Many of these stories feel like fun little lectures on history; a lot of covert-intelligence history is touched on from the Bible to the Cold War , but there's also a lot of fun tidbits about other countries. At its best, these digressions will offer fun pieces of trivia to the curious of readers.

At its worst, it feels like the book is refusing to progress its plot. The action is certainly riding shotgun to the humor here, but the book isn't without its own twists and turns. If any readers are interested, I would highly recommend reading Amazon's "Look Inside! It's a great read. Further, the author publishes a blog that will also entertain I've provided a link in the Comments section of this review. First off, this is a very funny book if nothing else.

After reading for a while, I also realized it's very cleverly organized and conceived, almost like the non-cartoon version of anything that Scott Adams has published. It's one of those humor rides that you might have had with an old English teacher, or simply from bouncing off friends from classic lines from movies such as Airplane. It's not serious, it is fun, and definitely suits anyone looking for clever humor which is a category dying in the book store these days.

If I had any criticism, it would be the title - as smart as this comedy is, it needed a better hook in the title.
