It really helped me prepare for my triathlons. Throughout the process of training I continually looked back through the book for information. Mar 12, Jill added it. I've checked this out from the library 3 times now twice the last time I trained for a triathlon, now that I'm gearing up to do a tri again.

I really should probably just buy this book. It is written for the beginner, but Inever seem to graduate beyond beginner status when it comes to triathlons. Will let you know how it helps my progress. Mar 17, Jessica rated it liked it.

This is a good book for the basics. I liked it, and would recommend it to someone starting out. I was looking for a little more help with the running and biking, and this didn't give me all I hoped. But, it was still good. Okay, not that any of you are going to run out and get this one, but I have been reading it in preparation for a race this summer.

Adventure Racing 101: A Quick-Start Guide

Not too detailed or technical. You could most of this information from the internet, but it would take a considerable amount of time to pull it together. Sep 17, Mike rated it liked it. This woman on the cover is seriously intent on running through whatever obstacle blocks her path, whether it be water, road or molten lava. But seriously, this book is good for everyone, from experienced Ironman triathletes to people who just dabble in a little bit of triathleticism.

Fully clean and useable as described. This book is just as it says, for the beginner. If you've already competed in a few triathlons, buy another book, you'll be disappointed here. The book does provide great information for the beginner. Tells you all you need to know. Bought this for my first tri. Seems to have all the aspects I need to get through it.
