This book started with so much promise, and for the first half of the book I thoroughly enjoyed the authors musings and vivid descriptions of this unique and amazing place.

Then suddenly the whole character of the book changed and he started writing about artists, musicians and even other writers inspired by this part of Ireland. Perhaps a reader that was more artistically inclined would give this five stars, but personally this aspect of the book was something I really wasn't particularly interested in and I found myself skimming these sections.
