I went into this having high expectations from the snippets I saw on tumblr. Because of that, I feel like I was greatly disappointed to the point where I couldn't really enjoy it.

Jan 11, Johnny rated it liked it. A cute little book that is any easy afternoon read that has some funny moments. Oct 29, Colette Moss rated it really liked it. Very funny insight to the world of court rooms. May 11, Janet rated it it was ok Shelves: The comments were funny at first, but after a while I found myself skimming the blurbs to find the punch lines. I was excited to see that the author published two more books just like this one Disorderly Conduct and Supreme Folly , but by the time I finished reading this one I had no desire to read the others.

Dec 15, Kasey rated it really liked it. Read this all in one sitting because the sections were so short and funny! While at times I did get a little confused, as I've never been in a court setting and didn't understand all of the notations, this book was, regarding legal terms, generally easy for your average person to understand.

Though I failed to see the humor in some of the accounts, most of them were funny, and some even made me laugh out loud. I sticky-noted all my favorites, and there's probably about 40 sticky-notes in there. This is a fun book that I would recommend as a de-stressor.

May 12, Terri rated it it was ok Shelves: I don't remember where I heard about it, but I'd have to say it didn't live up to expectations, and it wasn't worth an inter-library loan. I say the part about an inter-library loan because I want to just drop it in the return chute and forget about it, but I have to return it in person at the checkout counter, which is more attention than I want to pay this book.

It would be a good bathroom book. Nov 07, Rebecca rated it really liked it Shelves: Oh, I needed that.

After a lot of long, stress-filled weeks, I need the laugh-out-loud moments this book brought me. I pestered my husband by reading some of the bits out loud to him, and by the look on his face, he didn't find them nearly as hysterical as I did. While there are parts that anyone could enjoy, I think you'd have to actually be a lawyer to really appreciate it. Copies of this are probably going to be showing up as my friends' Christmas and birthday gifts for years to come. Courtroom humour, lots of funny and some not so funny and quirky things that have been told in the courtroom by legal people and the ones they represent I actually started this book some time ago and just picked it up again to finish.

This is a book you can leave and just pick up from time to time for a quick read and a laugh.

I had some good laughs whist reading this. Feb 19, Chris rated it it was ok. I have had this book for a while now and it was either read it or bin it. The book was funny in parts but was not quite able to hold my attention all the way to the end. I did finish it only because I wanted to finish what I started. Not a bad book but then again not up to the high praise the radio guy was talking about.

I liked it enough.

The funniest ones were from the Defendants and the Witnesses. Some in the others parts were pretty funny too but there are a lot that I couldn't get since I don't really speak lawyer but it was still fun to read. Feb 20, Channelle rated it really liked it.

If you've ever sat in a court room you've certainly heard a few twisted words, misused words, a slip of the tongue, a Freudian slip, etc. And is it any funnier when someone holding the title of "judge", "attorney", or "defendant" makes such funny errors?
