The winter weather about them is bleak and gray. In the early 20th century, day laborers in the New York docks worked depending on the availability of ships to unload, and thus when not working they often stood nearby, waiting for news that there was work. Men of the Docks is the largest example of Bellows' treatment of the subject.

Polson Pier, previously known as The Docks Waterfront Entertainment Complex ( or simply The Docks), is a multi-purpose entertainment complex in Toronto. Men of the Docks is an oil painting on canvas completed by the American artist George Bellows in Depicting the docks of New York City, this.
Its fun to watch the boaters park and come in for a drink or lunch. We stopped here for an evening drink and snack. It has a proper pub atmosphere and the food is good with excellent service.

Also a good place to meet all the local car- and water-bourne dogs and owners! Lovely view of the water below from the upper decks.
Food wasn't good but the staff were nice. Gets crowded at night which is to be expected as it's a popular place. The live band feature is nice.
THey allowed us to have the dog on the lower level only, which was fine. Sat under a speaker, not nice, wobbly tables, lots of flies, pub food and cold beer.
Drive-In Movies
Drinks were delivered fast and waiters were pleasant which makes it nice. Regular roadhouse menu with good portions, lots of drink choices. Great view if you can be seated out side. Inside was not as pleasant. Dropped in for dinner on a weeknight. The view is superb.

2018 Day at the Docks
When we arrived at On The Docks, we had an opportunity to sit at dock level. The view was very pleasing.
We watched boats come in and dock and the boat owners come in for dinner. We enjoyed sweet chilli Thai stir fry and a The view was excellent. The food was very good, This restaurant may be a little pricey for some. My Hamburger was excellent however this restaurant does not serve french fries.
