This has been achieved not only through marketing and Ms Schmeltzer's natural and impressive "Social Media Networking" skills but on the quality of her "heartfelt" life experience that has created a very special richness that one discovers in her self help handbook, her daily "Blog" writings and in the music she both sings and writes, which I think speaks in high volume!!! Bell's book had been around for me. Having known Ruby, I can say that this book, though coming from personal heartache, translates beautifully to all genders, backgrounds, cultures, races, sexual orientations and ages. She speaks so eloquently to those of us who have been wounded, who might have inadvertently wounded someone else previously or subsequently. Reading her book was like having her right there with me, walking me through each step to mending the wounded heart.
As a psychotherapist, I have worked with countless individuals, couples and groups whom, at some point in their lives, have sought therapy to find solace and relief from their seemingly unyielding pain. So many of Ruby's suggestions are similar to those I might offer to clients, however, coming from someone who is not their therapist might make these interventions more accessible and take away some of the "professional distance" that may clients could experience.
I would have absolutely no problem or hesitation recommending this book to my clients in need and plan to have at least two copies in my office: Thank you for giving me the tool-kit to help myself and my clients heal from heartache and pain!! This book is one that should be on everyone's shelf, to read, refer to, and share. It's like an encyclopedia of how to heal, how to protect, repair and revive your heart.

Even if no one's stomped on your soul or shattered your psyche, it's a great handbook on how to allow yourself to feel - take out the bruised bits, look them over, stroke them and put them back, "all better". The "Emergency Repair Kit" doesn't over-analyze or preach. It's clear, concise and written with a spirit that shines through each page.
Buy one for yourself - even if you're just having a bad day or a tiff with someone, there's value here. And by all means, if your heart is broken, you'll keep this book with you and refer to it often. In fact, I recommend buying at least two - it's a wonderful gift to have ready to give a friend or family member who needs real-life, real-smart, real-compassionate help and healing.
