I do want my kids to read it before they are adults, because there was so much insight for the athlete also. One person found this helpful. As a parent of a young athlete on an elite track in his sport, I wanted to read this for some insight. This was very easy reading, and growing up a swimmer while Summer Sanders was swimming, I could relate to a lot of what she was reading.

My husband and I were discussing some of our concerns with our current program and it helps to hear what other parents are doing. A lot of great information for parents of athletes and how to go through the journey. Book was received in perfect condition, I read a few chapters before giving to my 15 yo granddaughter for Christmas. She is a miracle child with a 2 chamber heart and I wanted her to be inspired and I know this is the book that is perfect for her. She was thrilled to receive it. It arrived on time for our Christmas even with all the Snow delays.
