I think we all have close friendships like this and in some ways it's like reading about ourselves. I really enjoyed this book, although there were times when the character of Shannon really got on my nerves.

I think of the three friends, she is my least favorite. She is a little obnoxious, but it is the sort of thing that makes her loveable. Everybody likes different people to different degrees. So, to me, Shannon is like the annoying friend. You like her, but can only take her in small doses. This in no way detracts from my enjoyment of the book though. And speaking of the hot sex, Ms. Ashlinn once again delivers, in spades. She has a way of writing a sexy, hot love scene that makes you wish you were there.

The men in the book are all seriously alpha and that is always a good thing as far as I am concerned. There are secrets, lies, and some good old-fashioned woman in peril scenes. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next in the Sweet Serenity series. Jared ran a callused finger down her right cheek and under the side of her jaw, trailing slowly to her chin.
