Add the first question. To me, Abbie seemed to work harder for his everything while Hunter just won't face his problem. There are major obstacles and it isn't even resolved until the ending where Hunter finally acts. A little too late, but at least it happened. The plot isn't in the background at all and plays a larger part with both character's personal problems.
I didn't care for it later on because it kept stacking over-exaggerating 'danger danger! Adrenaline rush, action, deception and just a little twist got me into it then. There were some things that I didn't see coming so I guess it was a plus point for suspense. Can't wait for more with her. A slightly better read in this series. When his current mission collides with his personal vendetta, Hunter sees the opportunity to wreak vengeance on the one who murdered Eliot. Ten days ago, her mother contracted a mysterious illness that is swiftly killing her. With danger around every corner, the last thing either of them needs is the distraction of desire. But when passion and love enter the mix, both will have to face the scariest thing of all: Prepare yourself for a pulse-pounding thrill ride of a story with this exciting, sensual installment to the fantastic BAD Agency series. Silent Truth did not disappoint.
Hunter is gorgeous, brilliant, and has a past that makes him put up a cool exterior to all he meets. Hunter needed a woman who was strong enough to break down the walls around his heart, and Abbie was just that woman. The two of them work well as a couple in every way, making me fall headfirst in love with their romance.
A fourteen year old boy who is gay is struggling with self-acceptance, reconciling who he is with his belief in God, and grappling with the decision of whether or not he should come out to his family. Daniel Sovich, Dylan Aaron White, Tonee Purnell. I felt every minute of this. On a military base in Iraq, PFC LaVena Lynn Johnson is found dead, shot in the head. Lavena Johnson (voice) 'The Silent Truth' follows the Johnson's search for truth and justice for their daughter.
Separately, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love are two of my favorite authors. When they write as a pair? Silent Truth is romantic suspense at its best and I absolutely loved it! Four years ago Hunter Thornton-Payne III lost his best friend and partner of the Bureau of American Defense, when a mission went bad and his friend was shot and sacrificed himself so Hunter could get out alive and complete the mission. As an agent of the Bureau of American Defense B.
D Hunter has to go to a charity fund-raiser to find the assassin but in doing so he risks going rogue but he's determined to find the assassin until he meets Abbie Blanton. Abbie is on a secret mission of her own, she's blackmailed her boss to get into the charity fund-raiser to find the cure her mother's mysterious illness, Abbie must find the high-profile heiress who's hosting the fund-raiser.

Hunter comes to her rescue more than once and soon Abbie and Hunter are on the run from B. D and the assassin Hunter has wanted to kill of so long. Soon, Abbie and Hunter discover an alarming connection and begin a treacherous battle against an evil enterprise that someone will go to terrifying lengths to keep hidden. I really wish I could say this was a great book but I can't.
Although I enjoyed Silent Truth I don't think I'll be continuing with the series unless the next book really grabs my attention. It's action packed that keeps you gripped with what's happening but the Fratelli, who can be blamed for the Black Plague, global warming, or the attack on the Twin Towers who still continue on in there fight for world domination in Silent Truth just doesn't appeal to me and I find that I don't enjoy that part of the overall story.
What I did enjoy was how Hunter and Abbie had met before, when Abbie was going through a bad time in her life, although Abbie doesn't remember them meeting, Hunter does. Abbie went into a bar and asked Hunter to take her home with him, but she's so drunk Hunter tries to send her home only she won't let him so he takes her home with him and although Abbie doesn't remember the night Hunter does. All this time later Hunter remembers his night with his own 'angel' and how she slept curled up to him. I also enjoyed how Hunter kept Abbie safe not just from the assassin but from B. Even though it was illegal for Hunter to keep Abbie from B.
D and the information she had, he was determined to keep her safe and with him. May 19, Elianne Ferrer rated it it was amazing Shelves: Just finished reading this book for the second time and it's still a solid five stars. If you're looking for one hot wounded hero who can be as badass as he can be sweet, this book is for you.
If you're looking for a leading female who can stand her ground and actually deserves a good man, this book is for you.
And mostly, if you're looking for an intense, well written and developed, heart twisting suspense thriller story that will leave you wanting more, much more; this book is for you. The story Just finished reading this book for the second time and it's still a solid five stars. The story is about Abbie, a regular woman who's trying with all she has to save her mother from a huge medical scheme related to the Fratellis mafia if you may call them that; a group of powerful men who basically want to rule the world that will become too much for her to handle alone; and her developing romance with Hunter, a secret BAD agent with a loaded baggage of personal experiences that have left him strongly adverse to trusting in general but mainly women.
They will find each other as a result of their different interests and in Hunter's pursuit of his best friend's killer, he will find himself having to work with Abbie, a woman worth trusting and a threat to his heart, who's trying to be killed by the same man Hunter has been looking for, for four years.
Well it is not. It's a perfectly placed and timed story with ups and downs along all the reading, that keep you from getting bored. Charged with people on the move, suspicions and romance, it's a perfect way of spending what would have been a boring saturday afternoon. You don't have to had read the previous books to understand this story and get as wrapped around it as someone who might; but if you have, you'll only get more satisfied by SK's BAD series, and will be much more anxious as to where the next book is coming. I am so intrigued by the Fratellis as I am disgusted by them; that being said, I could probably read a whole book of just them without a parallel romance playing as the main topic.
They are just that horribly engaging. Just a solid 5 stars on the Thriller Romance genre, nothing more to say than: Jan 03, Rachel rated it it was amazing Shelves: By far my favorite book in the series. Kenyon and Love really hit their stride with this one. I did skip most of the side Fratelli stuff again, but I did stop to skim some of it. Linette really does have a giant pair of balls.
I want Gotthard to save her and have them fall madly in love. Hunter was such a huge surprise to me. As I said previously, I always figured there was something more to him than met the eye, but I didn't know just how much that was. When he ca By far my favorite book in the series. When he cares and loves, he does so very deeply and he watches over those that mean something to him.
I loved watching him change and grow through the course of this one, even when he did go against BADs orders, but what agent there hasn't at one time or another?
He took so many risks when it came to Abbie and helping her and avenging Eliot. It made me love him that much more. Abbie is one of my favorite females now as well. Everything she's suffered, she's come out strong, and I can't blame her for her initial insecurities where Hunter was involved. Not to mention her desire to do whatever it took to save her mother. How can you not love that?
Abbie and Hunter together is something else. They have great chemistry and they compliment each other really well. The visit to Cynthia towards the end of the book warmed my heart so much! As for the thing with Korbin. Not buying it at all. Jun 09, Fangirl Musings rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Those who enjoy complex plots with a strong female lead.
Recommended to Fangirl Musings by: The plot was high-powered intense, the characters were lovable, heroic, strong, believable, and the writing was out of this world! Such, as I always state, are sure-fired features of any Sherrilyn Kenyon novel, and when Kenyon and Love pair up to write Silent Truth, the third BAD book the authors have co-written together, was seriously great!

I regret that I wasn't able to sit down and devote enough continuous time to read this book, but even still, having read this novel over the span of many days, it was still very, very good!
One of my favorite aspects to this book, among many, deals with the hero, Hunter. I adored, truly, how there is a lot more to this male lead than what appeared to be in previous novels. He was truly a fun character to read, and I really liked how his loyalty was so well noted in who he was. Abbie, the heroine of the this story, was equally amazing. She was strong and passionate, but most of all, resilient.
And yet, despite the seemingly vast differences between Abbie and Hunter, what I loved even more was that the two shared equally strong commonalities. Life had given both the proverbial bitch-slap, and yet both Hunter and Abbie picked themselves off the floor by their boot straps and continued on. The intrigue and suspense of this series amps itself up with every story, and Silent Truth was as high-powered intense as the previous books! All around, a five star book, no doubt! Jun 30, Inky rated it it was amazing. I was really happy to see a number of scenes with my fav character, Retter.
He was missing from the majority of this series happily to surface in that last volume and again in this one. It has come to the point where I can tell the parts that the great Sherrilyn Kenyon writes, and the parts the co-author wrote in this series. There are phrases SKenyon just doesn't use in her other books, also she never degrades anyone. One thing I don't like about this series is any sort of flippant remark I was really happy to see a number of scenes with my fav character, Retter.
One thing I don't like about this series is any sort of flippant remark that would be directed at any side of the fanbase. People who straighten their hair, or are skinny or not curvy enough. These come off less a characters thoughts and more an opinion from a co-author. This is my second fav in the series, it was a really good story, but Phantom in the Night still holding the flame, to me.
This one was missing key parts: Did they not find his body?? Is this the last book? What about The bosses book, Lennette and Bear? Though I think its better his life stays mysterious.. Three years since this one was written? Oct 03, Samantha rated it did not like it. I really do hate quitting on books but I just get so bored and distracted that I have to move on. The prologue was great, I basically got my heart ripped out because I quickly got attached to a character and then something happened. The writing was great, there was some action and then I want to throw the book.
All in the span of a couple of pages in the prologue. When chapter 1 started however, things went downhill. The prologue got me excited for an awesome, action-packed book but what happens? From chapter 1 to 11 they basically do nothing but talk, talk, talk. I was so bored and when I set the book down, I dreaded picking it back up. Thank you for reading my review. Nov 14, Jilly rated it liked it. Again, Love and Kenyon supply a rather enjoyable spy action adventure romance. While I'm less invested in the characters of this series than I am in Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series, the two authors seemed to be able to co-write a decent story.
Hunter and Abbie are both interesting characters as is the organization that Hunter works with. BAD is a secret government organization that gives good people who've met with the wrong side of the law a chance to work for their countries defense. Hunter is no e Again, Love and Kenyon supply a rather enjoyable spy action adventure romance.
Hunter is no exception though he's also a high profile elite from the rich crowd which gives him an in for BAD. However, Hunter's past makes it hard for him to trust even though everything is telling him he can trust Abbie with his life and his heart. Abbie is a woman trying to break into the documentry scene but before that happens she's got to dish dirt. But her life turns upside down when her mother runs afoul of BAD's main nemesis the Fratelli.
Abbie goes to an exclusive party to find something on her mother's poisoning and enters a world of terroists and the spies that put their lives on the line to save our country. This book was a good spy adventure and for light reading you could do worse. Apr 15, Barbara Vey added it.

I loved the characters. Hunter is the dark, dangerous and mysterious hero that I love to read about.
LaVena had shown no signs of depression or suicidal ideation. Blackmailing her way into a black tie fundraiser for the facility, she connects with Hunter, and when the hostess of the event is shot while talking with Abby alone in a garden, BAD realizes that there is a connection between the facility and the Fratelli, but what could it be? It was more of the same from this series, it just wasn't Lover Mine, the director's cu I really always feel badly for the book that follows something I've been looking forward to. In theory, if any official subpenoed to testify and provide information to congress refuses to cooperate, or even claims to be 'unable to recall'any member of congress can order the Sergeant at Arms to place that person in custody--definitely until they are With danger around every corner, the last thing either of them needs is the distraction of desire. Available on Prime Church Of Felons. He called for an ambulance and secured the scene.
Abbie was slightly annoying at times but for the most part she was a great match for Hunter. She did seem to be preoccupied with either her mother or with imagining sex with Hunter. Although, I can't really dislike her for the second part Some parts of the novel lost me - I've read a few of the BAD short stories and liked them so I decided to take a chance on Silent Truth. Some parts of the novel lost me - the parts to do with the Lisette and the bad guys. I guessed the bad guy before it was revealed and got slightly annoyed with Hunter for not realizing when I did.

I felt that Abbie had more negative flaws that good traits. At first I really didn't like her, as if everything revolved around her.
For the first part of the book I was totally lost as to what the bad guys were up to again. I think that one of the best things that the author did was to make the enemy have the rule " I loved the idea of a rich guy who chooses to go into law enforcement. I think that one of the best things that the author did was to make the enemy have the rule "No unnecessary deaths" it adds tension as well as great players such as the assassination who can play with those rules, not actually by killing anyone but by causing something that will lead to death. Oct 17, Whispers From rated it liked it.
Excellent story and characters. A couple of confusing things. First on the back of the book it states that Abbie was trying to blackmail a heiress when she was killed. Second it is listed as paranormal romance.. I could be wrong. Abbie is an investigative reporter, trying to find out what happened to make her mother deathly ill.
Hunter is an agent for a secret agency and very wealthy. He is after an assassin who killed his partner four years ag Excellent story and characters. He is after an assassin who killed his partner four years ago.
