It was helpful, but I would suggest making sure you have it well in advance of the exam: It has a lot of good study tips, but honestly, as someone who graduated with my masters as all school counselors do it wasn't anything new or earth-shattering that I hadn't heard before.

Very disappointed with all the errors. Do not purchase this book! This book was absolutely terrible and completely unhelpful. It did not help prepare me for the school counseling place exam whatsoever. The content has several spelling and grammar mistakes and sometimes paragraphs are even repeated.
It does not help you prepare for the questions on the actual test. I bought this study guide after failing the Place Exam. Immediately I noticed spelling and grammar errors but as I continued reading, I noticed repeated sections and even information for administrators and business educators.
I don't believe this study guide has been reviewed, it has many changes that need to be made. The practice exam includes information that wasn't in the actual exam taken, as well as more errors which makes it hard to understand the question. The version I purchased comes with a money back guarantee, I"m going to try to get it because I don't think this study guide helped me in any way. I read the reviews, figured I'd try it and see how it goes, and it didn't go well. Seriously, find a different guide to purchase because this is a waste of money. One person found this helpful. I think there is a TON of information provided, and it has a great easy format to understand!
