When death comes knocking Drew Smith faces the fight of his life. The funds raised through this project will subsidize the printing, distribution, and promotion of the novel. Profits will be reinvested to support the publication of the other three volumes which now make up this series. It is often said that best sellers are created and not written. While it is every writer's dream to write a best seller, it is also the publisher's dream to create one.

I saw this book on several internet sites before deciding to get it for myself. And I'm glad I did. Drew Smith is a DC attorney with a big house, nice car, questionable connections, and a proclivity for women: When a robbery leaves three people dead, Drew is hired to defend the number one suspect, who happens to be the son of his past love, Nina.

Things get complicated as secrets start to unfold and Drew's psychiatrist helps him pinpoint why he's having so many sleepless nights.

Initially, I thought it would be difficult to keep up with the legal and street names of the miscreants, but as an avid viewer of reality crime shows, I understand this to be necessary in identifying suspects and solving crimes. And Norwood Holland weaves things together nicely. If you are interested in a legal thriller with a touch of romance, then "Sleepless Nights" is for you. A good read and individual character backstories to explore. The read was all over the place with very little development into the characters.

Everything that keep my attention is there, gain, culture and class clashes, mystery, suspense, violence and quest for true love. I am waiting for more. What a wonderful story. I enjoyed the development of the characters and the plot. I completely enjoyed reading Sleepless Nights!

The characters and the story line were well developed, without a moment of lull from one scene to the next. Drew Smith you are definitely the man!!! Can't wait until Minus One is released! Engaging,with vibrant characters and with a hero in Drew Smith though flawed you still have to like. An intriguing story layered with personal dramas especially the with the protagonist ,all set in the darker parts of Washington D. One also gets a commentary on friendship and the effects of being a minority in a big city and how your old relationships can really haunt you later on Gee and Drew.

Fast paced, multi-textured Holland grips you with this thriller.
