Pirates Past Noon

Annie says Morgan will be back. The main characters are Jack and Annie.

Choose an Age & Stage

Jack loves to read and Annie has a good imagination and also believes in magic. Annie is outgoing, and Jack is reserved and quiet. Jack and Annie care about other people, because they remind the captain to be nicer to his mates. The story takes place when pirates were popular. The main location is a sea. The story also takes place on a tropical island. The primary theme for the reader to take away from this story is to be nice to people even if they might be mean to you, because they might learn a lesson about how they treat others. For instance, the captain was mean to his mates and when they left he realized he was too hard on them.

I would recommend this book to boys and girls who like adventure, history, problem-solving, and stories with a lesson because all of these books have these elements in them. Aug 16, Leigha's Little Library rated it liked it. If the book is a stand alone, I will go with whatever rating I feel most comfortable giving the book. Please note, I do not really think books should have an age limit. People should read what they want to regardless of the intended age group, except for kids reading erotica or something, of course.

The summery of past books within the new story would be really helpful for a person who hasn't read the series in a long time. I will give this series that! So I understand why it happens, but it takes something from me as an adult reader. However the books are cute and fun. I can relate to them, even as an adult, because I love books and would love to be in their shoes, to see all the worlds in the books, and who wouldn't want a magic tree house? So now we know who "M" is.

I still wonder if the children are making up everything in their minds. Imagination is a powerful thing! Either way, this series is really fun. Sure, it's simple and short for adult readers, but that is completely fine by me! It is nice to sit down with some books without all the young adult drama. Also, I feel like these "children" books and other nostalgia type books are really good when you are in a reading slump.

And since this was a book with the topic of Pirates, there was of course buried treasure, and of course it was found, but before our heroes could open the book, they had to escape a wild storm and the treasure is presumed lost. The way this series worked was that the magic tree house was filled with books. Once a cover of a book was pointed at and someone wished to go there, the tree house would whisk whoever was in the tree house away to that place in the book.

It is basically travelling into the book itself. The book that was used to travel on this magical adventure was called "Pirates of the Caribbean", I guess that is where Disney got their idea from, The Magic Tree House. This was the last book that was read to my class over the course of four weeks, after that we were told we could buy a book from the class book rack.

I wanted to get number 5, but it had been taken.

I was upset about it, but I still got a magic tree house book, 15 "Viking Ships at Sunrise", it was the first magic tree house book I owned for my very self. Magic Tree House 4

This trip is a big mystery to find the identity of the mysterious M. Jack shows good leadership in trying to find who M is. Annie has a keen eye in seeing clues. The story takes place back in time on a pirate ship. Jack and Annie take their Magical Treehouse for a spin and go back in time. The thematic connection in this book is to not worry when you are pressured. Keep your eyes open and look for ways to make the best of the bad situations. I recommend this book to Middle School students. It is a small story and an easy read. The pirates make it fun and the book forces your imagination to go to work.

When I explained to her that the black flag with skull and cross bones represented a pirate ship, she already knew that! Where does she learn these things I wonder?!! We also had a "is it real" discussion today. Annabelle thinks pirates are NOT real. She also originally thought Mummies were not real.

I verbally set her straight on these two accounts. Now I need to show her some proof. A little internet time ought ta do that! I want to show her pyramids in Egypt on Google Earth, and search Mummy and Pirate exhibitions online with her. Oct 26, Jeremy Muse rated it really liked it. Will future books return to books already visited? Only this time the parrot transforms into a woman. Who says her name is Morgan. Now the books says she is the sister of Kinger Arthur. But anybody that watched Camelot on Starz I think knows that Morgan was the half sister, smoking hot, and liked to run around naked I kind of enjoyed that part, wink wink. View all 4 comments. I had no interest about the pirates at all.

Capn' Bones was a very arrogant character towards Jack, Annie and his other pirate mates. The part where Jack and Annie were trying to escaped the bady guys ship made me so intrigued with the story. They showed how courageous and sneaky they can be in escaping a situation that can potentially prolong for a long time. I am glad that they w This book was a very quick read. I am glad that they were able to figure out who M was and when M was talking about how the siblings brought the treehouse to life. All of the clues in the previous books make sense right now.
