Though I would consider myself a mixed media dabbler, I have almost all of the supplies mentioned, albeit not all the colors of each paint line called for. I think the techniques and unique ways of using materials as they are presented here are wonderful jumping off points for someone who wants to know how to get the look and make it their own.

So pleased with this book, I've bought the second one. And I see that in the first few pages of the second book, Meier repeatedly states "or substitute what you already have.

Avid crafters will have some of these supplies, no one likely to have all of them, but there is such a variety that there is bound to be something for everyone. There isn't enough detail and instruction for the novice or true beginner but for someone who has craft supplies already, and has tried some of the products and techniques, there would be unique ideas and applications for the massive compilation of products.
