Nariman was holding forth and reminiscing to an audience hanging on his words. To be honest the book could have done with better editing, sometimes its almost like notes which have been typed up, which should have been addressed. Its endearing as clearly being written by Mr.
Nariman himself but This actually reads as a clear reflection of Mr. Nariman himself but does detract from the quality of the book. It was a personal shocker to know of his representation of Union Carbide and the part of the book dealing with this sounds faintly defensive too. The chapter on the Inter State Water Disputes could have been avoided entirely. The reflections on the Indian judiciary is exceptional. Good reading for those interested in the legal profession in India.
