The second story in Howe's Earth Rise is an exciting page-turner about a commercial return to the moon and the work of shady forces that seek to sabotage the bold endeavor. I couldn't stop reading until I saw how the story concluded. Three stories that are very different, but related. They will give you that yearning for space again, especially the second and third ones.

The technical details are authentic and are not so really in the future as you might think. Definitely a good read. One person found this helpful 2 people found this helpful. The three novellas in this collection are thought-provoking and highly imaginative. I absolutely loved his ideas about dinosaurs and what might have actually caused their extinction event in Wrench and Claw. Honor Bound Honor Born was a real page-turner of a thriller, and I was all but compelled to see how the astronauts in First Mars made it to the Red Planet and if they would survive a voyage home.
One person found this helpful. Solid, high-quality, hard science fiction. The plot is imaginative and original, for the most part, though I could have done without the sabotage sub-plot. The writing is well above what one generally encounters on Kindle Unlimited, and I expect that the author will eventually find a quality commercial publisher. It will not be available forever! This is a really engrossing story; to me, it ranks second only behind "The Martian" of all the many hundreds of novels I have read in past years. The story is complex and contains enough "plausible" science to make it exciting to read.
I hope there are more works by this author, I will certainly look for them. Thank you for a great read.
