I really wanted to love this book because the author is incredibly talented, but it was a hard one for me to enjoy.

Perhaps it is because even though I am 23 I am in a very unique stage of my life that I had a hard time getting a lot out of it. Also there are a lot of opinions from 20 somethings in the book that are distracting. I love when the author just talks and doesn't feel the need to insert a bunch of quotes from people I don't know. The quality of writing is good as always but the conten I really wanted to love this book because the author is incredibly talented, but it was a hard one for me to enjoy.

At the turn from my never reversible teenage years, I was given this book as a birthday gift. As a Singaporean, I suppose it is not highly likely that I will choose to stay on my own before I have a few years of working experience as I am tied down by the monetary issues of being able to purchase a flat on my own or for the matter rent it at my own cost. There were certain parts which w I wouldn't say this book was helpful in my context as I deemed it more suitable for people living in America.

There were certain parts which were more practical to my context though. Like it is the period one hopes to settle down and build a family. Other pointers about finance was also pretty awakening as it's a time to learn to be more financially independent. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a must read.

I'm a big fan of Feinberg's works; but this book is the one I can personally relate to the most of her's. If you're struggling to find a job your love, find the "one", or make your mark in this world as a young adult in your twenties or even early thirtiesI strongly recommend reading this book!

Jan 28, Marika rated it really liked it Shelves: When it seems like you're the only one with your life a wreck, this book was a helpful reminder that no one really "has it all together" and that its ok to not have your whole life figured out in your 20's. While I couldn't relate to every scenario, it was still an uplifting and encouraging book that helped me put life into a healthier perspective.
