Leveque told them in Paris, where they were hiding from the CIA and Mole, that he could help protect them. What Aphra and her mom didn't know is that Leveque works for the Mole. He gave them shoes with trackers in them so that the Mole could find them, and put them in more danger. After the Mole used Leveque to get to Ahphra, Leveque was murdered. Then, Aphra went behind her mom's back and went to warn the Mulo's. While doing this, Aphra and Seth Mulo were captured by the Mole. Will they ever be safe again?

I think that this was a very exciting book that always left me in suspense. The chapter ended when they were taken to the Mole's headquarters.

It also showed me how unsafe that this world really is. There were many mean and evil characters and I wish that they were nicer people. For example, the mean characters like Mole and his followers tried to kill Aphra and Seth Mulo. Overall, I thought that this was an excellent book! Feb 25, Mark Buxton rated it really liked it.

Aphra's adventures lead her through Paris, France, and into Italy where the series reaches its final climax. This mystery keeps the reader guessing about which characters are good and which ones are bad. Aphra has the same problem and makes some bad decisions based on incorrrect assumptions. They get her into increasing trouble, but that's what builds the suspense and makes the story more exciting. I enjoyed how the author allowed Aphra to use her intelligence to solve problems, but she still made silly mistakes.

It's nice to have an inexperienced "agent" making mistakes, unlike some other novels with teenage protagonists. It's unbelievable that kids can solve problems for government agencies, but it's even more incredible when they do it perfectly. Aphra makes a big mistake when she believes Ryan, an agent, is lying to her and ditches him in Italy.

She realizes this is a big problem when she's headed to The Mole and has no idea what she'll do when she gets there. This series is great for readers who enjoy mysteries. It's also great for readers just getting into mysteries, because it contains plenty of suspense but is not overly complicated. Sep 12, Dimitra H. Then, together they save a friend and almost get killed by the Mole, the person that has been trying to kill Seth. This book was the Bomb! A couple of parts were repeated, like the dead person, but hey, what's a story without a few people dying?! I think Seth and Aphra make a great team. The caught two murderers before and survived and they just caught the guy who hired those murderers. I also love how Ryan fits into all of this.

He was Natalie's neighbor in the previous book. He is just that secret spy person that you find at just the right moment. I think the only thing I don't like is the Mole. He is just a coward to send one of his little goons to kill someone else for him. And I think he is just plain meant to want to kill someone Dec 07, Aarushi rated it it was amazing. Aphra wants a normal life, so she and Ryan run to Varese to find Seth and capture the Mole before the 8: I really liked this book because it had many cliff hangers, so it made me want to read more and more. Linda Gerber put in some violence and a lot of adventure in the book, so it was my favorite book in the series. My favorite part in the book was when Aphra stole The Mole's Blackberry, so The Mole followed her, but Aphra stepped on a shard of metal, which caused The Mole to find her. I think that any middle school girl years old who enjoys reading adventurous books should read this book.

This is because it is the appropriate reading level for middle schoolers. It has a bit of love and romance too, so I think a girl would prefer to read this book rather than a boy. Some violence and adventure would include when Aphra and Seth are fighting The Mole and Marlboro Man, or when Ryan and Aphra are traveling in the forest to get to Varese. In this book we finally discover The Mole's identity. A sadistic man, with no value for human life. We get to see more of Ryan one of my favorites characters and a glimpse of what could have been a fantastic love triangle. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. Nevertheless, Ryan takes a more important role in this book and helps Aphra be the hero of the story. Seth is other of the characters that could have been described more deeply. He is such a sweet boy, the perfect match for Aphra and a key character on the story.

The action is always present. Actually, book three is the most thrilling of all and has A LOT of emotions. Europe is the perfect scenary for the story with some of the most famous cities. Death by Denim will not dissappoint the followers of the series and will definitely leave you wanting for more. Dec 24, Liviania rated it really liked it. Back to the book: Aphra and her mom have escaped to France, but they're about to be separated after an unexpected death. And it seems that her path is about to cross Seth's again. I liked him in his brief previous appearance and really worried when he got hurt since he didn't have main character immunity. And if you finish the book before you reach your destination, you can play with the cover cutout. Jul 24, Alexa Desocio rated it really liked it.

Death By Mysteries Series by Linda Gerber

I feel that Gerber's relaxed approach to the ending of this series was sort of a cop out, she could have done much more with it. In comparison to the first two books, "Death by Denim" is seriously lacking in many ways, on it's own however, the book was fairly well-written and mildly interesting. May 17, Laianna rated it really liked it. I love how the author can make you think you've predicted something easy, and then turn around with a twist you never saw coming. I was constantly guessing who the "bad guys" were, and as it turned out, I was usually wrong. I give this book four stars because for the last in a series, there were definitely some fishy conclusions Also, I really want there to be more books!

This is one of the reasons why I read it in one night just that feeling of what is going to happen next. But then, Seth, a person wanted by the Mole pops out because he wants the ring he gave to Aphra because the ring has a list of names engraved on the ring are names of people who are bad guys. She might be a former CIA agent but that is not an excuse for her lack of mother instinct. It's also great for readers just getting into mysteries, because it contains plenty of suspense but is not overly complicated. This book contained a lot of adventure because it involved Aphra, Seth, Natalie, and Stuart running away from Ryan and Watts in the mountains.

Seriously, this series is exciting, suspenseful, smart, funny, and really well-written in terms of the author's style, etc. I would really recommend it to anyone who loves quick mysteries and spy movies. The last book of the "Death By series": In this book Aphra experiences having to learn a whole new language and move to a totally different country with her mom, where they think that they are safe..

This book may be good for someone who has experienced having to stay away from the one you love the most, for your own good as did Aphra. Also for someone who loves a mystery story, with deaths, romance, and action with tons of suspenseful moments. As I have stated before in my other reviews of t The last book of the "Death By series": As I have stated before in my other reviews of this series, Linda never fails to place a picture of the scenes in my head. I like how she leaves just the right amount of wondering to the brain. I also like the amount of dialogue that is in the book, I always think that is very important.

I do dislike how she does just leave the end of the story with Seth and Aphra being separated.

This book defiantly makes me want to read Linda's latest book "Trance", and I can't wait! I recommend this to any one that likes to read about mystery deaths, action, and romance, it's quite the bundle. Apr 21, Lenore Appelhans rated it really liked it. In this third and final?

Not that she can really enjoy it when she is being used as a pawn in a life-threatening game I enjoyed both previous books in this series, so I was very much looking forward to joining Aphra on her latest high-stakes adventure. In fact, the pace is so breakneck that the book is over before you know it. I mean how hot is making out on a dirty factory floor with your hands cuffed behind your back while evil goons plan your doom in the next room? So yeah, I like the way the series wrapped up, and I'm happy that the epilogue left the door open for the possibility of more Aphra-centered thrillers in the future. I corrected my self by checking it at Goodreads and yes it has a previous 2 books which are Death by Bikini and Death by Latte.

I got hooked on the book and wanted to get the other books as well because there is a lack of knowledge for me on why The Mole is chasing them in the first place and why in the world Aphra and her mother always needs to change their address and their family being followed. I also wan I picked this book on sale and never knew that this is a trilogy and not a stand alone. I also want to know how that started. Well in this book it is state that her mother is an CIA agent but still i think that doesn't answer my questions.

Anyways, I love the plot of the book. I just wish there were more deaths by denim rather than one mysterious death of this guy whom she believe is the one she trusted to but instead she shouldn't. Lesson in this book, never trust anyone even the person closest to you because as time may past by, they will put you in danger. Mar 22, Anna rated it it was amazing.

Both books includes spies and demolishing some sort of evil boss. Besides that, both the main characters', Cammie and Emma's mothers are spies. I understand what Aphra is going through. It's probably extremely complicated to be related to spies. I wonder if its hard to find someone you can trust sometimes. Jun 30, Ellz Readz rated it really liked it.
