I love new takes on Robin Hood, but this one failed to capture my attention. The story was slow, dragged on, and never really seemed to hold my attention. That being said, it is an amazingly well written story that, for someone not as exceedingly picky as me as a reader, will draw them in and keep them held until the very end.

    This is an interesting take on Robin Hood as a woman.

    The ending is a bit abrupt but I do want to know what happens next. There is the potential for some interesting stories. I will probably read the next book when it is released. One person found this helpful. If you like to read about strong female leads then this is the book for you. A princess instead of a prince, weak men helping Robin, and magic Meriem engaged to the sheriff. Lady of Locksley is a fantasy that is, at the same time, a twist on the Robin Hood theme.

    In my opinion, it is targeted to audiences slightly more mature than young adult, due to some minor profanities but no f-words and due to sexual orientation. Read on to learn more More due to the theme and general nature of the story, rather than due to any vulgarities. While I could never pass as a fantasy author, I do occasionally read such stories.
