All in all, it breaks down to the fact that there are difficult choices and not so difficult choices one needs to make in their life in order to live it to its fullest extent. This is a book with lots of anecdotes from people on the things that have happened in their life and the consequences of their choices. I thought it was decidedly non-religious.
