It is so dark, cramped, and filthy back here! I long for ze open air! With all of zese new flowers, ze bees are certain to come to the chateaus we have built for zem! Begin ze planting, mon cher! Mon cher, our gardening skills begin to work wonders!
Soon we will have ze colony! Zere is but one solution to our existence sans-bees! We must gather more flowers! It's not that I don't like the hustle and bustle of Brightwood, I'm just real unaccustomed to it! The Hermit House is just the place for me! You know, amigo, there isn't a whole lot of water out where I come from. Just rocks and sagebrush mostly. I'd be mighty obliged if while I was in town we found some Blackberries, they're my favorite! Food on the range is none too tasty! I like to travel light with no pots and pans, which means I can never cook one of my favorite dish That doesn't mean I can't cook a mean stir fry though.
Business is boomin' at the Stir Fry Stand and the gold is pilin in, but the Kebab Stand is still stealin' our customers! It's their secret hot sauce! Let's head over there and see if we can learn the recipe. It took two trips, but I figured it out! And I got some kebabs! I know it's helping the competition but these kebabs are great, no wonder they're so popular!
This Boat Roof is partially damaged. We will have to raise it onto the Spring Boat and then repair it. The Skunks say the Museum folks found a boat. Let's chat with them and find out more. We must repair it. I see the boat is missing a few things. We must take a trip to the Hardware Shop to make repairs. If we sand this Paddle and seal it, it will be ready to use and watertight! Plus we won't get any splinters! Colored Tassels can be hung from the sides of the Spring Boat to give it fierce, colorful accents! I am trying to open a bistro so zat I may provide robust, earthy dishes for ze Village!
Soon zere will be yet another fine dining establishment for all ze inabitants of ze Village! Now I may cook for zem my mother's famous cassoulet. With all of these Neighbors visiting, it's time to establish our International Embassy to welcome our guests! The Brightwood Embassy will make everything official! Can't wait to have our first International Gala! I saw some aww-some butterflies on my way to the Watch Tower. I bet if we plant more flowers we can catch some! Tons of butterflies came to our new flower beds, but they're hard to catch with just your paws.

I've got all of these artichokes and avocados to harvest and not enough time! I don't really need these artichokes or avocados for anything. I just like saying their names! Boy, I'm glad you got some people to come. Everyone I talked to was so full from brunch that they just wanted to rest! I met a new friend. He may be a bit of a hermit and kind of a crab, but he wants to live here in the village! Boy oh boy, what a pretty house!
It's too bad that my friend won't pay us for our work. He's kind of shellfish that way! I was just kidding! I'm grabbing these fruits and vegetables for Chef Horace. He's cooking up a big brunch at the bistro! That's right, tell your friends! The food is going to be super-delicious, and it just won't eat itself! I got into a food fight with Wally and Edmund caught us! He got really mad and now we have to grow Cauliflower. Ah, lazy afternoons with a honey bun in one hoof and a cafe au lait in ze other.
Zis Village must have a Cafe! We need more Cafe customers! I know some squirrels who would die for my honeybuns. Let's move them in! What is a Cafe without the perfect cup of coffee? It all starts with ze right bean. Then you roast, slow-drip Ah, as much as ze sugar is nice in ze candies, sometimes it is nice to add other flavors too! Ze sweeter ze flavor, ze better. Lemons and Limes are great candy flavors! Ze colors in ze candies are very important! Ze red candies taste like sugar, but ze yellow candies taste like Zese candies are a little sour, but zey are mostly sweet.
Ze trick or treaters will love them! Sometimes on ze cold Halloween nights ze trick or treaters can catch a chill. It is important to have ze cider for cold paws and noses! Ahh ze Cider is just the thing for ze little ones! Zey may get ze chills, but it will not be from ze cold! Like with any fine food, presentation is key!
Ze sweet treats will need to be more than sweet, we will make them colorful with food dye! While Rowan does all the work, let's get a snack! They're great for you and they're delicious! These Carrots are terrific! They're just how I like them, fresh out of the ground and in large quantities. I'm working on an art project right now to make signs for the carnival so our friends from other villages know where to go! Problem is, I'm running out of supplies Now, I have everything I need Face Paints are cool and everything, but I want to look glamorous at this Carnival! What if we find some glitter?
That would totally be the next big thing! I like to put a little glitter on my nose and on my ears! I get more attention that way! Not all that glitters is gold. Are we finished, yet? Can I get my face painted, first? Thanks for finishing all the work Rowan. Painted noses, ears, whiskers, snouts, and beaks! Oh brother, painting furry and feathered faces is difficult! I'm not sure these Festive Face Paints are going to last the entire Carnival. All of our friends are coming! We should take them back to the Pavilion and dilute them a little.
You won't be able to tell the difference, I promise! I don't even know what that is but it sounds gross. Just make sure I look great when I get my face painted, okay! This Face Paint Pavilion is going to be totally not worth it if we don't have any face paints. Someone should find some! A lot of these colors will go really well with what I'm wearing, right now. I'm going to look spectacular! With this Palette, I can mix all the paint I want! Oh boy, let's get started! This Pavilion is going to be one popular spot. Red and blue make purple, blue and yellow make green, yellow and red make orange, and all of them together make brown.
Now, I have to start over. We can mix up all the Festive Face Paints here and I'll be able to create my masterpiece. Too bad it'll just get washed off later I left all my paintbrushes at the School House, we're definitely going to need them for this Face Paint Pavilion! Crisis averted, at least for now. When you're managing something as big as the Face Paint Pavilion, you have to stay composed when things go wrong!
Those signs got me thinking. A Carnival isn't all rides and games, there's always arts and crafts, too! We should have a face painting stand. This isn't just a booth, it's a whole Face Paint Pavilion! Everyone at the Carnival can get their faces painted here! Nobody likes leaves and dirt in their face paint! We need to clean this place up before our friends come! Can I get my face painted here? Can I go first, too? I don't want to get the same face painting as somebody else. If we're going to be painting whiskers and faces here, we're going to need a mirror. No problem though, we can borrow one from the Barber Shop!
I had to promise we'd bring this mirror right back when the Carnival was over, so don't break it! I'm craving that delicious stew from when I first came to the Village. Help me make it and I'll save you a few helpings. So here's the prank, we dress up as foreign diplomats and bluff our way into the Brightwood Embassy.
Then we eat all the fancy snacks they have stockpiled there and then we bail! First, we have to forge our documents! Oh hey there pranksters, didn't see you there! I just came up with a radical new prank, wanna hear it? Well, actually it's more of a heist and it requires costumes. These disguises are great, they'll never recognize us, especially not if I wear this mustache!
Everyone knows it was us that stole all those snacks, which is weird because my mustache stayed on I wonder how they ever knew. Anyways, I think we might need a good lawyer pretty soon. If we eat all the evidence, we'll have a good chance at getting out of this, they got nothin' on us! No going back now, I glued my fake mustache on with sap from the Woody Tree, it'll be on for weeks! Breaking into the Embassy is no small task, we'll need a plausible cover for this whole operation, somewhere we can stay while we pretend we're foreign diplomats.
I can't wait to see what's in there. I have a hunch our ancestors hid many treasures deep inside. I'm super pumped about the Grand Carnival, it's my chance to show everybody how great I am at sports! I'm going to win all the games where you have to throw stuff for prizes. Let's throw some fruit and get my arm warmed up! Baseballs, darts, beanbags, it doesn't matter! Whatever you give me, I can throw!

You think I'm going to pay Carnival prices for my refreshments? I've done this before, I'm bringing my own Lemonade this time! Cheaper, colder, and sweeter! Everybody else can spend their tickets on that watered down Carnival lemonade, but not me! Same thing goes for corn on the cob!
I like my corn with way more pepper and butter. Plus the kernels are always sweeter when I grow it. This corn is the best! Forget that carnival corn. We grew a bunch so we can sneak some in for our friends, too! Ho, a magic statue! Too bad the message is incomplete. But it's clear we should rebuild the Citadel! We'll need solid stone blocks to repair the Citadel. Old Lionheart must have had a quarry close by. These durn Cattails are full of bugs. This Climbing Wall is not safe to climb yet! We need to make sure the Creepies have not sabotaged it! King Lionheart would be angry if he learned we were not training for Creepy attacks!
I startled Chef Horace and he dropped his Peach Cobbler on the floor! He needs new ingredients quickly! But ze visitors often get sleepy after eating my delicious meals. Zey need a resting place. Ze otherlands folk are not accustomed to our rich Village fare. But my meals will give zem pleasant dreams. Zere is only one thing on my mind, Eggplant parmesan! Ze only problem is that I need ze Eggplants! Chef Horace challenged Rowan and I to a Cookoff!
Let's go to the Marketplace for secret ingredients! Oh man, what'd Wally get me into? I'm not sure we can beat Chef Horace, but if we do it'll be big news! This Cookoff needs to be held on neutral ground. Let's build a new house, the guests can be the judges! My papa and I have been training hard and now we're hungry! We need real warrior food: You can't have warrior succotash without super-sized beans.
Let's get some from Giant Beanstalks in the Forest. The crows are pecking holes in all the Pumpkins! How will we make jack-o-lanterns? Those darn crows never listen!
