Australian firearm laws strictly control pump and semi-automatic actions while lever-operation falls into a more lenient category, hence the recent popularity of the action in that country. For Montana, Alaska and Wyoming the chances of running into a big bear, a wolf, a moose or an American bison gives me greater pause. Bear spray if able, hand cannon if necessary.
