It'd be good to have a source the missile self-stabilised after disconnecting, otherwise it can be also presumed it might self destruct. Basically, if the command-link wire s are broken, either by exceeding maximum firing range or cutting them with something, the missile doesn't self-destruct, nor does it self-stabilise. Instead, it would appear that the missile then follows an erratic flight path, followed by ground impact and detonation. In case of erratic flight path being the result I think the common effect of overextending range will be used in the game if I remember correctly, eventual ballistic-off , so I don't think we have to change the existing report.
