Please try again later. This is a helpful book, but some of the information is incorrect. For example, the book says a periodontal probe depth probe is used for checking missed tartar and soft spots, and the explorer is used to measure sulcus depth. This is not correct.

Very comprehensive, goes through every tool you have seen at a clinic and many you proably won't, but was a great tool to study from for school and the VTNE. Some of the pictures look way to similar and would love to have alternate views of some of the pictures, but if you don't have access to the actual tools to study with, this is definitely the way to go!! Proved itself to be an incredible resource.
Wonderful photos, complete information about each tool, but the pages are so very thin, some rip at the spiral end as you try to separate them from each other. Thicker paper and pre-separated, not stuck to each other would be lovely.
The size lets you carry around to keep in handy! Good color detail photos and key points on how and what the instruments are used. Nice lay out of book and clear coloured pages of instruments with alternative names to them. Lots of information in the book. Was very useful when I was teaching. Most surgical instruments were pictured which sure beats trying to describe it.

It does not contain all of the instruments that I have at my clinic. I am a Surgical Technology student and this book is great for a study tool. The pictures are great and it is very informative.
