On the outside I have absolutely nothing in common with gorgeous model-like Ginger Hampton but the connection I felt with this character was amazing. Both the heroine and hero are such larger-than-life dynamic individuals but so easy to relate to. Ginger is not only beautiful but highly successful in a male dominated industry. Cameron is a scarred hero who deserves some loving and Ginger is the perfect woman to give him exactly what he needs.

This couple sets the hotel room on fire when they let the spark catch and burn up the sheets! I hated to say goodbye to these two and I cannot wait to see what else this author has to offer. Madden managed to weave an intriguing, touching and at times humorous tale together with molten lava loving to create a page turner. The heroine Ginger is a successful, strong woman in need of some TLC, and being put first.

I enjoyed this book alot. I have read several of the 1 Night Stand books from another author and thought this was a great addition to the series. I lovedthat both the characters had such insecurities. I had major tummy flutters listening to Cameron tell all about his sad history after the war. I liked him instantly but to hear of his heart break after his trama made me love him even more.

Ginger was a alpha female who was IMO looking to submit to a man. Thank fully Cameron was that right man for I enjoyed this book alot. Thank fully Cameron was that right man for the job. I would have loved reading more about these two because their story just seemed to be starting when the book was over. I think it is a great way for new readers to get a glimps into a writers style with the short novellas.

Ginger is a strong woman who knows exactly what she wants and has figured out a way to get it, but Madden does a great job of showing us her vulnerabilities in unique ways in her reflection while she is waiting for the date who will never make it. It was great to watch their two stories unfold and how they were going to connect. Ginger might be a power player in the den of personal protection but she has her insecurities as well. She has her own wants her own needs. She wants to be loved and cherished with dreams of her own HEA. I loved this story, it's one of heartache, discovery and perhaps finding the one you're meant to spend forever with. Trust me the story is more than it's title leads you to think. Dec 16, Melissa rated it liked it.

I feel so bad for Ginger almost through the entire story. She is so one and then assuming she was stood up is even more terrible. Cameron I think could've disclosed a bit earlier on. His insecurities broke my heart and of course when he told Ginger his story it's even more heartbreaking. To think he was so broken and hurt makes you even more into the story. Clearly the two are a match yet I would've liked a more clear cut ending.

A few strings were left undone. I would've enjoyed a clear cute HE I feel so bad for Ginger almost through the entire story. I would've enjoyed a clear cute HEA since Ginger lives so far away. I'm a sucker for these stories though so I will assume and HEA for the two. I really liked the characters and was really impressed with how quickly they were developed. I wanted to spend more time with them. Our heroine, Ginger an ex-federal office, six feet tall and is having trouble finding a man.

In steps our hero, Cameron an ex-marine war scared working as hotel security see our heroine. This is a one night stand, set up by someone named Madame Eve. Would have like to have more, it seems the story ends without the usually HEA ending. But the ending did have the possibility of another story in the making. I really loved this book Cameron sounds like a huge gruff sweetie who has been through hell and survived just. Though also having emotional scars as well he still has a soft side underneath, a man that any woman would be proud to call her own.
