Easy to follow, has more protein to prevent hair loss, and I actually lose more weight than on the original. Lots of good tips and tricks to prevent and break stalls, although I've never really had to break a bad stall on this protocol, it works that well. The recipes aren't that great but I use Tammy Skye's HCG cookbooks, they are the best cookbooks out there and complement this protocol well, I just increase the protein as needed. I'm on round 5 and usually stay below calories a day. However I see the benefits of her recommending a bit higher. Don't bother buying Dr. Lipmans calorie hcg book. It was loaded with processed foods recommendations and artificial sweeteners. Sonia is much closer to the original protocol with the addition of breakfast and other green vegetables. I'm not taking her advice on breakfast however because I believe that a 16hr fast between dinner and my next meal works better for me.
I will add a protein shake with berries at about 11am if you want to count that as breakfast. Do you take the drops on the loading days in phase 1? The main difference in our calorie diet and Dr. Simeons original calorie diet is that ours contains more protein. Protein keeps muscle mass up, which is also critical to fat burn. This is why a person on the HCG diet should expect to lose just as much weight on the as the Protein is filling, and also makes you feel full for longer, than carbs or fats.
