It is refreshing and a little arrogant at the same time Sep 03, Ian Malmberg rated it really liked it. I thought this book was a good soccer book.
It was interesting to read about this because most of the calls didn't happen during my lifetime, so I wasn't aware of them all. If you are interested in professional soccer I would recommend this book to you.

Structured along the World Cup final over the years, it depicts the stories and decisions behind some major incidents that shook the football world. One of them being the author's three yellow cards to the same player in Very good and entertaining sight into the world of a refereee, a lot of food for tought even for a junior league one such as me. A Refs perspective Poll holds his hands up as not being infallible.
Puts across the referees interpretation of some big footballing decisions. Worth a read for football fans.
