Similarly, there was a reference early on to the President being ill and needing the help of these embryonic cell lines that Drs. Ben and Luc might have in their clinic, but the President's story seemed to be forgotten quickly. I imagine both plots were addressed sufficiently in the earlier book, and perhaps the one involving the President becomes the focus again in the next book. I probably will read the first book for these details even though I know how the plot goes, and will see if there are more books to this series.

It all leaves off after Tim Sullivan's death from his own cure. Ben McKay and luc Morgan ends up with the lg cell line that he made. One day that Ben McKay was working the night shift he was working in labor and delivery when a woman came in and he ended up delivering her baby in the backseat of the car.

During Marnie's pregnancy she had a lot of complications with a low lying placenta and during the labor when the doctor induced her he ended up causing the baby to bleed out and they almost lost their baby boy, but marine ended up saying the baby with her own blood. Ben ended up getting sick again and almost dies when the new embryologist ends up making a cell line to save his life by working with his liver.
The same cells that was used the Rivera twins and ended up not working on trying to cure the girls cancer. The only thing that saved the twins life was their baby brother saved their life by the use of his cord blood. Marnie ended up forgiving time her late husband for what he did. Everybody ends up living happy with the things that God gave them. Ben McKay is on his way to a recovery from the infection that almost kills him and caused him to have a stroke.

The medical jargon in the book was a little tedious at times but overall a good story about doctors involved in stem cell research and how ultimately it saved one of their own. When I finished it, I couldn't wait to start Deadly Cure!!! And I'm here to tell you, it didn't disappoint!!! It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and not all of the outcomes are good But isn't that real life???!!! We don't always know what is coming in life and that keeps us on our toes!!!!
This is an intriguing, thought provoking series and I recommend getting both books and enjoy!!!! I truly believe you so won't be disappointed!!!! See ya at the end!!! This is a great book, following the theme introduced in the first book of the series. Bio-ethics, medicine and religion are some of the most relevant topics in the world today. This book, this series, does a great job of presenting the dilemma, along with human imperfection, with believable plot, characters and conversations.
I will be watching for more books from this author.
I was spellbound from the word "go. It is as fascinating as its predecessor " Lethal Harvest! Thank you for two great books, Dr. Eagerly awaiting your next book! I couldn't stop reading this book, it had me glued to each page wanting to know what happens next. I like the Christian theme.
I couldn't put it down once I started the first book. I really identified with what Marnie went through. Ben was a great example of what a Godly husband should be like. The storyline really makes you think about the issue of when life begins and what ethical research means. This sequel to Lethal Harvest is well-written and works well as fiction while still getting its point across. Think of a Christian Michael Crichton, only a bit easier to read. Have read all the books from this Have read all the books from this author. In an age where ethics and morals lag behind our technology, it is good to read a medical story that supports life.
