I really like Chaikin's mastery of intrigue and I loved book two in this series for it's spiritual emphasis. This book was well written but it felt like a "middle" book. Some plot lines were resolved, but for the most part this book just developed the series a little futher. Normal for a middle of the series book and as a part of the series it is a good read. I'm now waiting for the next book to see where the story is headed.

Also, the religious parts I tended to just skim right over them so I could get on with the story. I enjoy a book that is clean with a religious element, like Stephen Lawhead but sometimes it just gets to be a little too much and I feel I'm in the middle of a sermon.

The end of this book is somewhat of a cliff hanger and a note says the fourth book is to be realeased in ! One review I read indicated that person had contacted the author, Linda Lee Chaikin, and she had decided that 3 books in this series was sufficient.

Works can belong to more than one series. In some cases, as with Chronicles of Narnia , disagreements about order necessitate the creation of more than one series.
If the series has an order, add a number or other descriptor in parenthesis after the series title eg. By default, it sorts by the number, or alphabetically if there is no number. If you want to force a particular order, use the character to divide the number and the descriptor. So, " 0 prequel " sorts by 0 under the label "prequel. Series was designed to cover groups of books generally understood as such see Wikipedia: Like many concepts in the book world, "series" is a somewhat fluid and contested notion.
